    @ jr , Carrie and MerDer4EveR
I totally agree with all of u and thanx Carrie for pointing out some main reasons i mean we as fans sometimes we are carried away with our feelings and we totally forget facts i mean most of the fans slammed Shonda Rhimes for killing George and for the departures of Katherine Heigl & T.R Knight i mean what was she supposed to do i totally adored George But T.R requested to be released from his contract what was she supposed to do with his character as for Heigl she's be nagging and bugging Shonda and ABC for 3 years i mean even I who adored Izzie wanted her to leave and Carrie i agree we shouldn't be bitter about Heigl's departure i mean it's her choice she's free to do what's suitable for her but i don't like her ways i mean after slamming the show for 3 years she's somehow using the show's popularity to promote her own projects and i don't think that's decent if i may say so i won't use another word .... As for Ellen she was graceful enough to come

jr WORD!! I totally agree with everything you said.

@jr - I agree that Grey's will not be the same without EP/DP. However, there are many reasons they were unable to get more story lines this season. EP had a baby which included maternity leave, and when she returned the writers let her request to only work 3 hours instead of 12 a day. That cuts down on the story lines for MerDer in general. Derek did get some story lines but it would of had so much more potential if Meredith had more air time. Oh well, I was kind of 'sad' about it at first but hey it's life and at least she is still an amazing actress. I hope they get more air time for the next two seasons as well.

As for Katherine Heigl, the only reason I ever felt for Izzie Stevens was because KH is an amazing actress. Her, Sandra Oh, and Ellen Pompeo definitely carried the show from the female aspect. I think people are being a little too bitter towards here though. Like I stated just now, EP has cut down on her air time significantly because she had a child (not includi

I agree with Joan, MerDer4Ever and Uniquely Yours. We don't miss KH. She didn't watch the finale of a show she was a part of for 5 1/2 years but now she will to see what Alex said about Izzie. I guess she was thinking about her character when she left in the middle of a season with total disregard to the producers of the show, her fellow castmates especially the ones that had a storyline with her and the fans. The more she says the more she just makes herself look bad and is totally unbelievable. No one believes she left because of her daughter. Many people on that show have had children and were able to carry on professionally. But I'm glad she is gone. The finale was great, it gave more airtime to other characters that really deserve it who never complain publicly even when they didn't get much airtime and their storylines were not good. I hope Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo get great storylines for the next two years. They deserve it. They deserve Emmys and Golden Globe

I just read this on MTV website.... Katherine heigl when she came to know about what happened in finale (she hasn't watched yet!!!):

Midway through Josh's delivery of the details, Heigl interrupted when he mentioned that a main character was pregnant.

"I'm sorry, wait," Heigl said and held up a hand to stop the recap for a moment. "A pregnant who? Meredith is pregnant?" she said, totally surprised. "You've made me feel horrible [for not watching yet].

"I'm going to have to watch this now. I have to see [Alex] call for [Izzy] and her never come. ... I really miss that relationship," Heigl said of her former onscreen romance with Alex (played by Justin Chambers). "Justin Chambers is one of the most amazing men and certainly a spectacular actor. I feel oddly attached to him and the character and my character being together. It just seems what's supposed to be, but you can't have it all."

I wish she Comes back :)

KH isn't a black sheep! Sure her leaving the show wasn't very good, and her caracther went a little crazy and was kinda annoying, but I understand her too. She just got a baby, and mayby prefer working with movies. So I wish her luck in the future and I just have to say, Grey's is SO good without her, they don't need her. They have, Teddy, Owen and Arizona now as the new caracters, and the show is better then ever!

'she-who-must-not-be-named.....so we are refering to katherine heigle that way now? who is she...the friggin dark lord of harry potter? come on now, while there is less drama, she did bring some good stuff to the show.
it just stinks that they really gave her a lot of story lines early on and ran out of things to do to her character.

still a good show, but really, can we at least come up with something a little more original than taking from harry potter (i.e. He-who-must-not-be-named; the dark lord voldemort...)

I ask to you,if there was the KH ,we have had this ending in season...i don't believe,i' m very happy when she left the show ,because she was more famous than other she askes always.Naturally this is my mind .Shonda has be wrong when she has been hang on the whims of the KH ,without respecting for the other actors, that they have always thanked TO BE PART OF THIS show as EP AND PD.i'M SO SORRY ,BUT WHEN I LISTEN AGAIN TO SPEAK ABOUT THE KH ,I LIFT MY HAIRS AND COMES ME THE SHIVERS AT ONLY THINK THAT SHE CAN BACK...

There was a USA Today in January, I believe, article where the writer was on set talking to people about the off-screen drama, which since it was on KH's second hiatus, was about zero. So this article was adding proof to the inside sources.

I don't need to know KH to see that she isn't a model person. Her actions speak all alone for her.

I am just so glad that she's gone.

I bet Katherine Heigl watched the season finale and was kicking herself the entire time realizing what she left behind for a lackluster movie career. Nobody is interested in Katherine Heigl, they're interested in Izzie Stevens. She's going to fade into obscurity, and I'm not happy to say it. I thought she could have been a great actress. Knocked Up and the fact that she left Grey's proves this. Stupid move on her part, but now she has to live with it.

Me's comment was intersting. The marketing department for KH's film hoped that the GA target audience would still be the target audience for her film too. How ironic that to have a film career KH needs to remind the GA fanbase she's still working and needs us to still support her by watching her romcoms.

The only time that we were reminded about her character recently is that Izzie's sent divorce papers. We've also seen Alex under the influence of morphine was regretting sending her away. I felt sorry for Alex, but the end of S6 reminded me I don't miss Izzie at all.

GA didn't fall apart with KH departure. I think it'll be a different thing when EP, PD and SO leave

While I get what everyone is saying here, I honestly can't say I want to believe it unless I heard it from the mouth of Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, etc. As far as I know, they never said she was the epitome of drama on the set. All we heard it from was random blogs and "inside sources". The only drama I really see is those sources just trying to create bull so people will read the articles or news stories or whatever.

I'm not saying that she definitely wasn't the cause of any drama - she's definitely opinionated and other things - but all these comments to me really seem close minded. None of us were on set, so none of us know EXACTLY what went on back there, and we will never know. If you don't like KH, no one said you have to, but to call her names in my opinion seems a bit childish and rude when you don't know her.

I get if you leave a show that you got "famous" from beaing a part of if there was a "real" reason. Or if you thought it wasn't good anymore, but I must say, I didn't like how everything around her leaving was very good. We didn't even know what episode that was gonna be her last until a few week after it had aired, that's not a good ending, not for her, or the fans! Or the story or caracthers on the show!

  14. Me

During the finale of Grey's I noticed that previews for Katherine Heigl's new movie was being played during commercial breaks..I almost fell off my couch laughing!! That snotty, stuck-up woman who thought she was too good for Grey's (which MADE her famous, FYI). I wouldn't pay to see her act if my life depended on it.

  15. lina

as long as Pompeo, Oh, Dempsey, Leigh, Chambers, Dane, Ramirez and Capshaw is a part of the cast until series finale I'm happy, and if they will go on for another 2 years, iäm not gonna complain cuz this season and the last onehas been the best ones yet! And it's great that it's finally "back to normal" after KH left the show! Can't wait for season 7!!

    @Uniquely yours & @ MerDer4EveR
    Couldn't agree more

  17. Uniquely Yours

You know who should never have bitten the hand that fed her. Who knew her before Grey's anyway. Now...all of the sudden her current publicity statement is she left the show for her daughter's sake!? Oh...and she misses everyone so much. Please. She thinks we are all s-t-u-p-i-d. PD has had a very successful movie career and never made it an issue (at least not publicly) that his aspirations are/have been impacted by his commitment to Grey's. Anyway, I, for one, do not miss her and am sorry that Shonda and all of the Grey's family had to endure her selfish and self-absorbed behavior. Nice to know that all is well on the set.

Hmm so it's seems everything is back to normal with KH gone. That's good!

Me too. I have always had deep respect to EP, PD, SO for never complaining and always were thankful that they have a job. (Even when the storylines for them were crap)

By the way did anyone notice that Katherine heigle's somehow using the show's fame to advertise her own projects??? Especially after the Epic Season Finale and the Buzz that was created... it's been a week and it's still going on no other show got this even the popular ones going off air for good i mean i may be wrong 'cose regarding her since 2007/2008 i am biased i can't be objective but it seems very hypocrite of her after nagging the writers and Shonda & ABC to release her from her contract and dishing about the show everywhere for 3 years now to claim that she feels left out after leaving i mean Come On SERIOUSLY!!!please give me a break i just wondered if somebody else got the same impression :)

  20. joan

Couldn't agree more i have always respected the cast of grey's especially ellen & patrick for not complaining about their story especially end of S3& S4 but they were always voicing what the fans were saying in a good natural way so it seems with katherine heigl's departure everything's back in palce the storylines, the ratings etc..... i mean she was so arrogant and complaining about storylines all the time knowing that even though she's one of the main characters but not the major one she got the most important storyline and airtime.....
