Coming to Gossip Girl: A New Boyfriend For Eric
Now that Jenny is out of the picture, at least for now, how will Eric respond to the absence of his on-and-off BFF and quasi-sibling? Here's what TV Guide has to say about that:
Until Little J makes her inevitable, splashy, Serena-like re-entrance on to the Manhattan scene. Word on the street is that the plan is to give Connor Paolo more screen time next season, including a new boyfriend who will stick around for a while.

I LOVE ERIC! I'm So happy that they are gonna give him more time on camera. He deserves it. Also love the fact that they are finally going to give him a steady boyfriend (long overdue). BTW, I HATE HATE HATE Serena, Vanessa and Jenny. I'm so glad that Jenny and Vanessa are gone.

its about time Eric got more screen time. He could make for an interesting character if he is given more screentime and an actual storyline. Hopefully we'll get some Chuck/Eric scenes next season ( i was really hoping the show would cultivate their brotherly bond when Bart died)
