Tonight's Grey's Anatomy guest star, Demi Lovato, spoke with E! Online about what it was like to meet the cast, what a big fan she is of the show, and much more.

Demi plays an extremely troubled patient Alex must treat on "Shiny Happy People." Below are some excerpts from the 17-year-old Disney star's conversation ...

On making her boyfriend, Joe Jonas, tune in: "I don't think [Joe] has ever watched it but I'm gonna make him ... I'm gonna show him how amazing it is."

On what she said upon meeting some cast members: "Um, hi! Can I just say hi? I'm just ... a really big fan. I just saw Owen, and got really starstruck!"

"I'm a huge fan. Obsessed ... it not healthy. People know on my set (Sonny with a Chance), ‘OK, she's gotta be home at 8:45 so she can watch [Grey's] at 9.'"

On her role: "I'm playing a possible schizophrenic, and I hear every sound in my body from my heart beating to my eyes moving, to my muscles flexing, to my blood rushing. I hear everything going on in my body and I couldn't take it and I try to claw my eyes out."

On her makeup for the part: "It's a little Lady Gaga-esque ... I've been doing a lot of crying so it's probably worn off by now, but it's pretty awesome."

On her experience on the set: "Everyone has been super sweet to me and really welcoming. At like 6:00 on a Monday morning, I walk in and Patrick Dempsey's like, ‘Hello there, Demi…How do you say your name?' And I was just like, ‘Oh! There's Patrick Dempsey!'"

"There was a huge smile that came on my face then. My favorite is, don't tell, but I love Lexie! Lexie's like my character and I love her character so much."

Justin Chambers and Kevin McKidd also chimed in on their characters ...

Justin on Alex's relationship with Lexie: "It's a little physical. It's kind of a rebound. Alex married Izzie and said all those wonderful things and I don't think you just fall out of relationship that easy. But [Lexie is] a cute girl. Asweet girl. So maybe there's something there."

Kevin on Owen, Mark and fighting for Teddy: "They could throw down, the two of them. I'd like to see who comes out on top! [Laughs] Not in that way. But we haven't had a good fight scene since Derek and Sloan at the end of last season, so that would be fun."

Steve Marsi is the Managing Editor of TV Fanatic. Follow him on Google+ or email him here.

Justin Chambers is still a Lexzie fan... I love you Justin!!! And I thought that I would hate Demi (cause I don't like her) in this role but she was nice :)

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

I want to marry you. I want to have kids with you. I want to build us a house. I want to settle down and grow old with you. I want to die when I'm 110 years old, in your arms. I don't want 48 uninterrupted hours. I want a lifetime. Mmm. Do you see what happens? I say things like that and you fight the urge to run in the opposite direction. It's okay, I understand. I didn't, but now I do, I do. You're just getting started and I've been doing this for a long time now. Deep down, you're still an intern, and you're not ready.

When we say things like "people don't change" it drives scientist crazy because change is literally the only constant in all of science. Energy. Matter. It's always changing, morphing, merging, growing, dying. It's the way people try not to change that's unnatural. The way we cling to what things were instead of letting things be what they are. The way we cling to old memories instead of forming new ones. The way we insist on believing despite every scientific indication that anything in this lifetime is permanent. Change is constant. How we experience change that's up to us. It can feel like death or it can feel like a second chance at life. If we open our fingers, loosen our grips, go with it, it can feel like pure adrenaline. Like at any moment we can have another chance at life. Like at any moment, we can be born all over again.
