Its not guaranteed the shooter is male just from the voice... It could be a guard or someone else chasing them because they see the gun. They may be trying to trick us.

Alex basically admitted in this episode that he's settling for Lexie. Izzie was the love of his life. Alex and Lexie were there for each other because they were each hurt by their perspective breakups but there is no genuine feelings between them other than physical attraction and friendship. Mark and Lexie are clearly still in love with each other and I sincerely hope Lexie makes the right choice. I agree with other posters that if she stays with Alex while still having feelings for Mark, Alex will just end up hurt later down the road if he does, in fact, START to fall in love with Little Grey. I think Lexie is finally more mature and ready to take that step with Mark that she wasn't quite ready to earlier.
In other coupledoms - Teddy: please go away and Calzona: get back together! I sincerely hope MerDer IS the couple PG next week and that this is not some red herring by Shonda.

Loved the episode! I liked all the storylines and everyone did good.
Gotta love the kiss between Callie and Arizona in the elevator though! It was all kinds of hot and heartbreaking.
Arizona is the master of compartmentalization..she was both being in control AND losing control of herself in the elevator scene. Arizona copes by detaching herself emotionally from everyone - including her patients, i wonder if we'll see Arizona break in the finale?
And I'm torn between Alex/Lexie and Mark/Lexie... I like Alex more and I find him so much more interesting than Mark, but it does seem like Mark and Lexie still have strong feelings for each other...
Love and Meredith Cristina friendship! Owen's still an ass though...
Oh, and i love Bailey and Ben together!

Do you think Mark's feelings for Lexie are as genuine as they seem or do you think it is more about wanting what you can't have? Honestly, I never thought Mark's feelings were anything but genuine. If this was about him wanting what he can't have, they would have had scenes of him seeing Lexie with Alex being all couple-y or whatever and him having some sort of reaction to it before he made his move. The way it played out, it was clear that Mark knew that Lexie and Alex were together. As far as he knew, Lexie had moved on. It was Callie who urged him to tell Lexie how he really felt before he ended up regretting it and obviously he took her words to heart because that is exactly what he did. He flat out told her he was in love with her and wanted another chance and he left it at that. He didn't play any games or pull any stunts or anything that would suggest this was about him wanting to be with Lexie only because she was with Alex or because Teddy "dumped" him which she really c

I just would like to say the show is getting worse and worse everyday. PP is such a better show. I cannot stand Dereck and his arrogance.
I love Karev, he is sympathetic and practical. Mark and Lexie make me sick. Mark needs to grow up. Be with someone his age same goes for Dereck. They both live in a world of fantasy.
I like the old chief but he is also screwed up. All char on the show has no moral value. Torres should get a good guy.
Waiting to see the finale. I think Mer should not have a kid for Der, he does'nt deserve same.

It's not about me liking Mark or not. It's about me believing that Mark and Lexie ultimately do not work as a couple and won't end up together. They are in different places in life and they will not make it even if they get back together. I don't like Owen at all but I believe that he and Cristina, even with their ups and downs, will end up together.

I think for this finale Mark and Lexie will end up together, She's maybe the one who's pregnant as in the last episode she was saying to Alex that she has fat... or..this is Meredith pregnant for real and Christina is really congratulating her for that.
Also I think the victim could be Richard shooted by Thatched ( but I don't see the point really as it was one hundred years ago..)
or Derek by the guy who lost his wife in the last episode , I don't know who else it could be? yeah maybe Owen but by who? It is not Mark and not Karev. and I can't find out what choice will have Bayley to do, who's involved in this situation.
Too many questions , can't wait :-)

Alex respects and likes and lusts Lexie but he currently is not in love with her. He recgonizes that she's someone he SHOULD be able to be in love with. He's acting like a duck. If it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it must be a duck. I hope they find Alex someone he won't have to act like a duck with. He deserves a swan.

This was a really good episode.I'm a sucker for love stories so I really enjoyed the ER couple it was one of the aww moments of the episode
Bailey/Ben-Bailey GOT SOME! :D :D :D :D. The lecturing was cute and showed Bailey's insecurities throughout the episodes which a lot of women seem to have IDK. I just have this strange feeling that Ben is going to get shot in the SF (I hope I'm WRONG they are CUTE!)
C/O/T-After this episode I come from not caring about C/O to just not liking them. It was cute S5 where he was chasing her but I can't stand them anymore(sry fans!) In my honest opinion Owen belongs with Teddy I just want him to stop messing with Cristina so much. They need to break up

I don't agree with Mark wanting what he can't have. He has real feelings for Lexie. They didn't break up because they didn't love each other it was because at that moment in time they wanted different things. Besides I don't think Mark should be punish for choosing his daughter.

that relationship will fail again cause on this show all the relationships fail again, and stories are the same always in one way or another cause that's happens on every show after a few seasons, the thing is if you like that character or that couple. Mark wants what he can't have. Plain and simple.
He pulled the same thing with Addison too. He wanted her when she was Derek's wife and then when he was with her and she was pregnant with his child he went and cheated on her with several women. She dumped him and he came after her to Seattle saying how he was in love with her and wanted her back. The same story is now happening with Lexie. Derek said Lexie was off-limits and that's when Mark started wanting her. He had her and easily chose his daughter/grandchild over her and slept with Addison and a string of women after. Lexie is now with Alex and Mark got dumped by Teddy so of course he makes a play to get Lexie back. He went from sleeping with Reed and propositioning Teddy for a threesome to telling Lexie he's in love with her the next day. Mark cannot be taken seriously. Even if Lexie goes back to him that relationship will fail. Mark my words.

I think mark's feelings are genuine, and I didn't know this site on season 2, but I didn't think derek's feelings for mere were more about wanting what he couldn't have (he was a jerk from chosing addison to call whore to mere).
I mean mark is really dense sometimes but that doesn't mean this couple and their fans don't deserve another chance, just the same second chance another couples got or are going to get, do you like if callie started to sleep with karev (again) and she stayed with him cause karev is alone now and she is in pain?. Well, I think karev deserves a partner but not lexie, I don't like them and I hate them more when I think it is only cause katherine H. isn't in the show anymore.

I definitely think Mark's feelings for Lexie are genuine and not about wanting what he can't have. The reason they broke up was because they both wanted different things, not because they didn't love each other. And in all the months they've been apart, Mark has never been shown to be over Lexie. Quite the opposite in fact. Look at the way he was treating Alex because he was mad that Lexie slept with him and the look of pure hurt when he saw them coming out of the on-call room together. He went around telling anyone who would listen that Lexie dumped him. He told Callie that he wanted a family with Lexie. Even when Lexie asked him how he learned not to care, he told her he was still learning (obviously talking about her).
So yeah, I think his feelings for Lexie are genuine. They might not have shown him pining over her for episodes on end, but nothing they have shown tells me that he ever stopped loving her or wanting to be with her. If it was up to him, they never would have broke

All around pretty awesome episode. Although I like Alex & Lexie, it looks like she will end up with Mark. So I guess that great kiss last week was all for nothing. Oh, well. I guess I shouldn't expect anything different because in the last 3 or 4 season finales Alex always ends up alone, sad or crying.
I have no idea who gets shot, it seems like Derek will but that wouldn't be a shock because so many of us think it will be him.

oh and for Mark wanting what he can´t have..... he pretty much had it for a year and still has if you saw they way Lexie desperately tried to tell herself that she is with Alex and don´t cares about Mark the whole episode

WoW!!! this episode was really, really good!!! I was totally laughing out loud with Miranda and Ben!!! The guy was...well! Cris/Owen...alala drama's ON ! Karev was so cute and really awesome with the case!!! He did a great job thanks to the "lexipedia" LOL! But the thing that made my heart explode was Mark's declaration!!!! OMFG!!! Marriage? Mark? this could be interesting!!!
