NBC Confirms Cancellation of Heroes
Heroes has been axed by NBC. It was rumored earlier in the week, now it's official.
The demise of the series, which was still in the running for a fifth season until very recently, feels both shocking and inevitable. It was so good ... then became anything but.
The beleaguered drama only averaged 6.5 million viewers this year, and its last episode ever, February 8, didn't even bring in nearly that many, garnering a mere 4.4 million.
If that doesn't seem low, consider that Season One was not only beloved by critics, but by legions of fans, averaging 14.5 million a week. It just couldn't sustain the magic.
Maybe Peter and Sylar can work construction instead now.
There has been talk that NBC may air a TV movie that allows the producers to wrap up the story, but nothing has been set in stone. NBC will announce its fall lineup Monday.

i feel this is a rip off. THE SHOW WAS SO GOOD. get rid of other boring shows and bring back Heroes it was an ON THE EDGE show. so many people watched it. and they cant say they dont have the money to keep it going. cause they do, either there CHEAP PEOPLE are the CAST IS BORED!!!!!! FIGURE IT OUT PLEASE.

We need a finish to a great show, it may not have had a good viewing success on tv due to if you missed a week it wouldn't make any sense but like me I'm sure most of us got the dvd as soon as it came out.... After all this time I still check monthly at the local cd/dvd store to see if its been released.... I'm Australian, a lot of my mates have all the dvds so far and its the only show they'll watch besides two and a half men....

why cancel? i am an addict viewer of Heroes and I believe it would be better if they allow it to continue showing..

its really shocking... i was waiting to see the change in SYLAR.. and now hearing that NBC closed the show.. its fucking retarded... atleast give a chance to so that we may see an ending to this great show...

I just dont know , what to say sitting and crying all this week , i am socked ! Feeling terrible, i still dont get it what happened to a season 5 ! It is shocking me off !no more Heroes , i am freaking out. cant wach other movies .Heroesjust stuck in my head ! Many fans still want to wach Heroes ! I cant even read all of this , i am felling terrible !I cant believe it is canceled ! Begging u to make atleast season 5 ! PLEASE

too bad...but i have to admit the show wasnt keeping up to what i expected,though i would still like for it to have an ending.

I'm horrified that Heroes is cancelled. I didn't know until I noticed that no promos were on. Very bummed.
