Yes, Melrose is canceled; yes, OTH has been renewed.
I assume the reasoning for 90210's move is due to that show's sagging ratings. Perhaps now GG viewers will watch it more often b/c it's on the same night.
I can also only assume, but The CW probably thinks Supernatural fans are loyal, will follow that show to Fridays and ratings won't go up or down much. Instead, it wants to use the popularity of The Vampire Diaries to see if Nikita can become a major hit.
