Brian Benben Promoted to Series Regular on Private Practice
The Private Practice cast is so crazy, Shonda Rhimes added a second full-time psychiatrist.
Sources confirm to EW that Brian Benben, who has played Sheldon Wallace for the better part of two seasons, has been promoted to a full-fledged series regular.
Benben first joined the Grey’s Anatomy spin-off on a recurring basis back in Season Two as the resident shrink at Oceanside’s rival practice, Pacific Wellcare.
But it wasn't Sheldon's counseling that endeared him to PP fans - he’s jumped into doomed romances with fellow therapist Violet and, more recently, Charlotte.
Maybe next time, Sheldon won't be someone's second choice.
Glad to see he received a promotion in any case. What's not to like about Sheldon, neuroses aside? What do you think Rhimes has in store for him in Season 4?

Ok this comment may be coming in a bit late, but it is still relevant, at least to me it is. Benben's lips are hot, so much so that every time I see him on the screen, I want to just suck face. I would love to have 24 hours of non stop, word stuttering, earth shattering sex with him. The man does something to me. I do have a thing for older men, not all of course, but very few. He fits the bill very nicely. That is how I feel. I think his wife is a lucky woman. There is something that tells me sex with him would be something else.

OH, I LOVED SHELDON SINCE THE FIRST MOMENT HE FIRST ENTERED THE ELEVATOR:)
THE VOICE, THE QUIRKY CHARM, EVERYTHING, AND ESSENTIALLY HE'S NOT BAD LOOKING, HE'S ACTUALLY KINDA HOT:) HOPE HE AND VIOLET END UP TOGETHER, I JUST THINK THE'D MAKE THE MOST ADORABLE COUPLE, BETTER THEN VIOLET AND PETE FOR SURE:)

I like sheldon! especially sheldon-addison storylines!:)
but what I couldn't help noticing was that everybody expects he'll pair up with either violet or charlotte... but:
what if he pairs up with addison? it's exactly what nobody's expecting and that's shonda trademark, do what nobody expects. they have cool scenes together and know a lot about each other, I can see them simply make a 'mistake' and kiss each other... what happens then?
I know it might be a bit unrealistic, but I hate addisam and I'm just trying to find all other possibilities for addison.
the best would of course be if catherina scorsone (amelia) would become a regular and addie would pair up with Mark or Alex... (sorry, I still can't get over the hot relationships she had with them)

I dont like him, too much of him is going to be even mroe annoying. I dont even understand why they give him so much attention.
I wish Amelia would become a series regular!! She's pretty cool
