Breaking Bad... Mad Men... Rubicon?

The latter aims to take its place alongside the first two great AMC dramas when it premieres on that network in August.

Starring James Badge Dale, Rubicon centers around an analyst at a New York City think-tank finds himself at the center of a conspiracy. Sounds a bit like The Event, doesn't it?

Call us crazy, though, but we have more faith in AMC than NBC.

Rubicon premieres on August 1.
