Sean Murray Returning to NCIS; Cast Fully Intact

at . Comments

After a protracted negotiation period in which the status of several key actors was unclear, the final holdout has re-signed, keeping the NCIS cast wholly intact for years to come.

According to TV Guide, Sean Murray has signed a new contract for the upcoming eighth season of the hit CBS procedural, which ranked as TV's top scripted drama in 2009-2010.

Many of the actors all hit free agency recently and Murray, who plays Special Agent Timothy McGee, was the last remaining series regular without a new contract for Season 8.

McGee and all his cohorts will be back this fall.

David McCallum, Rocky Carroll, Pauley Perrette and Michael Weatherly all agreed to terms this spring, while Mark Harmon and Cote de Pablo already had long-term deals in place.

As big fans of the show, we're happy that the cast and its terrific chemistry will not be altered. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts, all of which are pretty awesome.

season eight airs on Tuesday, September 21, and the contracts are multi-year.

Finally,, whole team is in,, Go NCIS team,,

when is it due to air??

It was welcoming news to hear that the NCIS crew will be back. There is vertually nothing to watch if not for NCIS; and, similar shows. It seems most of the shows are either making fun of certain gender, nationality, or humiliating each other. Coupled with the fact that most of the series are about minorities, e.g. the Lopez show: what Spanish family acts like that family? They certainly do not act like the Spanish families I know and have met in New Mexico, totally disfunctional family. What is worst is that people actually this is a comedy. Then there are the Black families who fall into similar shows. I wonder, are the big time owners and managers of Hollywood now using maniorities to make their money; and, who are the big time owners if now _ _ _ _. They sure know how to make a buck, all the way to the bank they laugh; and, all the minorities think they are great because there are minorities on the screene. How insulting to the Blacks and Spanish people.

Seaon 8 will commence filming in july as planned! Congrats for a return of the entire cast ( like we really doubted it would happen). The contract negotiation for pauley is multi year as well as harmon and michael.

NCIS is the best program on the TV (as far as I am concerned). The laughter, seriousness and story always keep me in awe. The relationship between Code de Pablo & Michael Weatherly is fabulous.
The energy and flow among all the cast is super. Pauley Perrett, David McCallum, are great! All together the cast is "Top Shelf".
When I come home from work I watch the re-runs and then on Tuesday night I watch the current one. The cast is the best, but whoever writes these stories should get an award (brillant mind).
Thank you so much for "thee" best show ever!!!

YES! And it's on for an other awesome season!

Is the contract just for season 8? Or is it multi-year?

Tony: One other question, I know you're an expert in English history. And I was just wondering, have you ever heard of Archibald Drummond, the 17th Earl of Trent?
Ducky: The Earl of Trent. No, I can't say I have. Why?
Tony: I was just wondering. Thanks.

McGee: All right. Well you should probably know that Abby and I used to date?
Bishop: Ew. Like, each other?
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: Wait - isn't that a violation of rule 12, never date a....
McGee: It was a long time ago. After we'd broken up, one night I went to her lab. Found a scribbled piece paper; a list. Potential boyfriends had to fulfill certain conditions by a pre-arranged date or else, goodbye.
Bishop: Such as.
McGee: Things started off relatively normal: opening the door for her, flowers, putting the seat down. Then around number 8, it gets uh...
Bishop: What?
McGee: Does she know you have these?
Bishop: Does she know you have these?
McGee: Yeah she wasn't happy when she found out.
Bishop: These are all very specific.
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: These ideas apply to you?
McGee: No those rules weren't in place when we were together. At least I don't think so.
Bishop: What's with the two month cutoff? Abby's sabotaging herself. I've seen stuff like this before. We have to talk to her.
