2010 Emmy Nominations: Announced!

at .

Hosted by Jimmy Fallon, the 2010 Primetime Emmy Awards will air live on August 29.

Earlier today, two of the funniest stars on the two funniest new shows on television - Community's Joel McHale and Modern Family's Sofia Vergara - announced the major nominees, which included some refreshing shockers: Kyle Chandler! Connie Britton! True Blood!

We've posted all the nominated shows/actors/actress, along our thoughts on each category. Who got snubbed and who will win? Read our take below and chime in with your own!

Outstanding Drama
Lost
Breaking Bad
Dexter
Mad Men
True Blood
The Good Wife

WHO WILL WIN? Breaking Bad. It's between this and Mad Men, so, either way, AMC can pre-order many bottles of champagne.
SNUBBED: Damages. It pains us to say it, but its final season was far more captivating - with a far more satisfying ending - than that of Lost.

Sideways Characters Collide
Sally and Don

Outstanding Comedy
Glee
Modern Family
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Nurse Jackie
30 Rock
The Office
Curb Your Enthusiasm

WHO WILL WIN? Glee. You can't fight its place in pop culture. Or Sue Sylvester.
SNUBBED: Cougar Town. The cast found its groove by season's end and, let's face it, Nurse Jackie isn't really a comedy.

Outstanding Actress in a Drama
Julianna Margulies: The Good Wife
Mariska Hargitay: Special Victims Unit
Glenn Close: Damages
Kyra Sedgwick: The Closer
January Jones: Mad Men
Connie Britton: Friday Night Lights
WHO WILL WIN? Margulies. We'd give anything to see Britton pull the upset, but couldn't actually argue with the selection of Margulies.
SNUBBED: Katey Sagal. On Sons of Anarchy, Gemma went from sexual assault victim to killer in just a few weeks. Amazing stuff.

Alicia in Church
Betty Draper Promo Pic

Outstanding Actor in a Drama
Jon Hamm: Mad Men
Kyle Chandler: Friday Night Lights
Bryan Cranston: Breaking Bad
Hugh Laurie: House
Michael C. Hall: Dexter
Matthew Fox: Lost
WHO WILL WIN? Laurie. His performances in the season's first and final episodes alone should be enough
SNUBBED: Ian Somerhalder. Granted, we don't know who he'd replace - but he brought depth to Damon on The Vampire Diaries that we didn't think we'd ever see in a blood sucker.

Outstanding Actress in a Comedy
Lea Michele: Glee
Tina Fey: 30 Rock
Toni Collette: The United States of Tara
Julia Louis-Dreyfus: The New Adventures of Old Christine
Edie Falco: Nurse Jackie
Amy Poehler: Parks and Recreation
WHO WILL WIN? Michele. It's the year of Glee. Don't fight it.
SNUBBED: Mary-Louise Parker. It's questionable if Weeds is even still a comedy, but more is requires from her in this role than anything Fey does on 30 Rock.

Outstanding Actor in a Comedy
Larry David: Curb Your Enthusiasm
Alec Baldwin: 30 Rock
Matthew Morrison: Glee
Steve Carell: The Office
Jim Parsons: The Big Bang Theory
Tony Shalhoub: Monk
WHO WILL WIN? Baldwin. No one else should ever be nominated in this category.
SNUBBED: Joel McHale. His smart ass character on Community was fresh, and hilarious. The same can't be said of Shalhoub at this point.

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama
John Slattery: Mad Men
Aaron Paul: Breaking Bad
Martin Short: Damages
Terry O’ Quinn: Lost
Michael Emerson: Lost
Andre Braugher: Men of a Certain Age
WHO WILL WIN? O'Quinn. He didn't just play two characters; he played them both brilliantly.
SNUBBED: Walton Goggins. His Justified character wasn't even written as a series regular, but Goggins made Boyd Crowder irreplaceable.
Explosive Photo
Teacher Ben

Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama
Sharon Gless: Burn Notice
Christine Baranski: The Good Wife
Christina Hendricks: Mad Men
Rose Byrne: Damages
Archie Panjabi: The Good Wife
Elisabeth Moss: Mad Men
WHO WILL WIN? Moss. Next to Hamm's Don Draper, she's made Peggy the most fascinating character on the show.
SNUBBED: Sandra Oh. Cristina weighed love versus career throughout the season of Grey's Anatomy and Oh sold her character's ongoing dilemma in every episode.

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy
Chris Colfer: Glee
Neil Patrick Harris: How I Met Your Mother
Jesse Tyler Ferguson: Modern Family
Jon Cryer: Two and A Half Men
Eric Stonestreet: Modern Family
Ty Burrell: Modern Family
WHO WILL WIN? Burrell. Combined physical humor with dry humor and a lovable ignorance that made Phil Dunphy the heart, and the funny bone, of the funniest new show on TV.
SNUBBED: Danny Pudi. The role of Abed might not require the most range, but this hilarious oddball on Community is at least unique.

Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy
Jane Lynch: Glee
Kristen Wiig: Saturday Night Live
Jane Krakowski: 30 Rock
Julie Bowen: Modern Family
Sofia Vergara: Modern Family
Holland Taylor: Two and A Half Men
WHO WILL WIN? Lynch. This might be the easiest call of them all.
SNUBBED: Vanessa Williams. No one on SNL should ever be nominated. Wiig plays multiple characters every week, it makes no sense! We'd also love to see Alison Brie from Community here.
