Christopher Gorham Speaks on Covert Affairs Character

at .

A week from today, Covert Affairs viewers will meet a character unlike any seen on TV before:

A blind CIA operative who specializes in tech and computers.

In a new interview, Christopher Gorham talks about the role of Auggie Anderson and the challenges he faces on the upcoming USA series, which co-stars Piper Perabo.

“Auggie is really interesting because he’s the blind tech guy who also used to be special forces,” says Gorham. “He’s multi-dimensional, has a great sense of humor, but has some real physical challenges that have to be overcome and confronted in literally in every scene.”

Continued Gorham, who's best known for appearing on Ugly Betty as Henry Grubstick:

“Just playing the physicality of being blind is a real challenge and requires an extra level of focus that has really made this kind of all exciting and new again for me. I’ve done a lot of shows where I’ve been the lead, the expository guy, the best friend - all these different types of guys - and now it’s all new. So it’s really exciting.”

Covert Affairs has already landed a few big-name guest stars and is receiving favorable reviews. We'll tune in for the pilot on July 13.
