James Tupper Cast on Grey's Anatomy as Andrew Perkins
Back in the day, when James Tupper was on Men In Trees, ABC dubbed him McTreemy in ads hyping the show, a take on Grey's Anatomy's McDreamy and McSteamy. The Anne Heche-led comedy-drama didn't really pan out, but Tupper has scored a role on Grey's!
The traumatized doctors at Seattle Grace-Mercy West are about to find a silver lining in May’s deadly hostage standoff, according to EW: Meetings with Dr. Andrew Perkins.
Tupper, who was also on Mercy, is joining Grey’s Anatomy in the recurring role of the trauma counselor there to help the staff recover from that season-ending bloodbath.
He's currently on board for at least two episodes. Grey’s Anatomy kicks off its seventh season Thursday, September 23 with an episode titled “With You I’m Born Again.”

I will always, always miss "Men In Trees" and "Mercy" but their stupidity in cancelling those shows is worth it if he makes an appearance on GA. Get him on here fast, I don't care if its 1 or 3 episodes, he's sexy as hell! I want a steamy scene, I just need one. YUM!!!

I really think it'll be Bailey who will need to extra counseling. Or April, Meredith or Derek.

Please god DO NOT let the writers or Shonda or ABC or whoever is charger of making actors regular on Grey's, make this guy a regular. Two episode is more than enough. I'll give him 3 or 4 episode to heal these people properly but after than ship him off to the parking lot of doom. Please
Enough with the hot guy on Grey's it doesn't look realistic. In a real hospital there isn't that many hot doctors. Geez.

Oh God, no regular on him. I rather have Dr. Wyatt be a regular. She was cool and cures fast.

I am really going to miss Mercy, but seeing Dr. Chris Sands on Grey's will help ease the pain quite a bit. =)

While SR is at it in hiring new actors from previously axed shows, why doesn't she hire the hot hot HOT paramedic in Heroes?-- Milo Ventimiglia! He's young & yummy! Just like Jackson Avery!! Woohooo!!!

I always loved it when Dr Wyatt appeared, if she didn't become a regular, why should Dr Perkins? Neither are surgeons and GA revolves around surgeons. A reoccuring role probabaly. But how many characters have started off as a reoccuring role and then become a series regular? Loads
