Love Bites Bumped Back to Midseason by NBC

Love Bites is not exactly off to a great start.

The one-hour romatic dramedy has already dropped one actress from its cast - and now it's actually been bumped by NBC.

Due to the pregnancy of star Becki Newton, as well as a shake-up behind the scenes (show runner Cindy Chupack has stepped down and will only serve as a writer now), Love Bites won't premiere until January at the earliest.

In its place? New episodes of The Apprentice. (Donald Trump calls this programming decision "the best.")

Said Chupack:

“Launching an anthology series, which breaks the form in so many ways, is a huge undertaking, and I strongly feel that I can be most helpful not showrunning, but writing. It just became clear that for several reasons, some of them personal, this change (and a little more time) is what we need to launch this show properly.”
