With the second season premiere of The Good Wife just over a month away, producer David W. Zucker wants to make one thing clear about heroine Alicia Florrick:
Life is not about to get any easier for the character that has earned Julianna Margulies an Emmy nomination.
"She's going to be confronted with a whole new intensity of challenges," Zucker tells TV Guide, specifically referring to her firm's partnership with attorney Derrick Bond (Michael Ealy). "As soon as [Alicia] feels she may have gotten herself on a secure track, suddenly everything gets shifted."
At home, meanwhile, Peter's foray back into political arena will create its own set of issues.
"His new campaign is going to expose [the Florrick family] to the public in regular intervals," Zucker said. "What is the next manifestation of that relationship? He's out of jail, he's going to be setting upon what his next professional track will be."
All these questions will start to be addressed when The Good Wife returns on September 28.
