Angela Sarafyan to Bring Estrogen to The Good Guys

by at . Comments

Angela Sarafyan hasn't just joined the cast of The Good Guys, she's been tasked with a difficult mission:

Increase the number of female viewers that tune in for this Fox series.

The actress will portray a socially awkward character named Samantha Evans, an assistant crime scene investigator in Jack and Dan's police unit. She's been brought in because the show saw ratings tank following a moderately successful premiere.

Fox even yanked The Good Guys off its summer schedule two weeks early (it will air on Friday nights this fall) because it wanted to add a female presence to the series.

Enter Sarafyan. She has appeared on such shows as The Mentalist, In Plain Sight and CSI: NY.
