Chad Allen will guest star on a fifth season episode of Dexter.

But don't expect the actor to stick around for long.

The former Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman series regular, who has appeared on Criminal Minds and CSI: Miami, will portray a killer who is hunted down by the show's title character this fall.
