No Ordinary Family

No ordinary guest star has been cast on No Ordinary Family.

Multiple Golden Globe Award winner and Emmy nominee Cybill Shepherd will come aboard this new ABC series in the role of Barbara Crane, the mother of Julie Benz's Stephanie Powell. She'll be joined by Bruce McGill as her character's husband.

According to Benz, Stephanie's mom won't be aware of the new powers that have been mysteriously bestowed on her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren.

"We have to decide if it's best to clue them in or keep them in the dark," the actress told TV Guide of the decision her character faces.

Last week, we reported that Twilight star Jackson Rathbone was also set to join the cast in a recurring role. The show premieres on September 28.
