I feel so sorry for Damon.... I'm so in love with him and I don't want to see him hurt... I think that Elena should be with Damon not only because she has feelings for him but also because Stefan is so BORING!!!!! Even though he is less boring than last year he will never be Damon... Stefan is so predictable. On the other hand Damon is so funny and unpredictable. Also, I cannot imagine Caroline being a vampire, I liked Bonnie a lot, Matt is always very cute (His eyes are sooooo blue) and I start to really like Tyler... Ah, I forgot!!! Katherine is such a bitch and that's why I liked her... Nina Dobrev is a very good actress..... As for Ian Somerhalder's acting, no words.....

OK no one has said anything about Caroline ? I mean If shes a vampire Mattt needs to know and her mom. But, her mom would want to kill her right? And hopefully if matt finds out it would be like the books and he would help Elena out all the time! Hopefullly that happens.

@annika, I totally agree with you! Yea I feel bad for Damon but not just b/c he is hurting means he can do whatever he wants. And totally loved Stefan in this episode SO HOT!!!
As for Caroline, as soon as Damon offered his blood for her, I knew she was gonna end up dead by the end of the episode and become a vamp.

OMGosh that was fantastic love it i hve to say i was most impressed with the newer more aggressive Stefan when he attacked John in the hospital i was like WTF and then with the scene with Katherine he was positively radiant love his new more dangerous side . Love Damon I dont think Elena loves him like how she loves Stefan but she "cares for him" and i really through that he would finally get with Katherine when he was talking about how this was the defining point in the relationship over the past 150. love Bonnie and Damon gives me jokes cant wait for the next week
PS TOTALLY MISSED TVD OVER THE SUMMER (love Stefan and Elena)

WOW!!!! OMG!!!! What an episode!!!! Seriously!!!! My notes:
1. Katherine is such a b*tch!! Love her!! Loved everything she did in the episode (apart from what she told Damon)!!
2. Stefan was so HOT!! We saw a different side of him yet he's still the gentle, kind and loving Stefan we all know!!
3. I love Damon, I really do!! But that wasn't my favorite Damon episode.. I felt so bad for him when Katherine told him she always loved Stefan (I don't believe her though) but then the whole thing with Elena.. She loves STEFAN!!! God!!! And he shouldn't have killed Jer! (I wish he saw the ring)
4. I see Damon and Bonnie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
5. Caroline is a vamp? yeah!! finally she'll become more interesting!! and i so hope for the vamp-wolf relationship!! (Caroline and Tyler ftw!!!)

OMG, this episode was right along the lines of the season finale. Shocking moment after shocking moment - I loved it!
I felt soooo sad for Damon, I really don't blame him for going all crazy. Ok, maybe Jeremy was a little much - Katherine was really the one to blame, not Elena. I was kind of surprised that Katherine calmly told him she never loved him and left, as if she wasn't doing it out of spite. Maybe she has a raisin of a heart somewhere!
Anyway, total shocker when Katherine killed Caroline!
Loved the Bonnie/Damon conflict, pretty awesome! Maybe he'll see something in her eventually.
Stefan/Katherine - there definitely is still something there.
Love this show! Can't wait for Katherine and Elena to meet!

GeneralRapunzel I can tell you that I read the books and she loves Damon just as much. L.j.smith said so Herself Elena loves both brothers. and there are quotes that just prove that ,but I agree that Elena in the show wasn't ready yet , Elena will forgive him with time , she did forgive worst thing in the books and she still loves and trusts him, they are both hurt and it's going to take time for her to forgive him completely but they'll get there.

I'm a HUGE delena shipper (and by HUGE I mean HUGE) I felt extremely bad for Damon when Katherine told him that she never loved him and it was always Stefan (I believe she never truly loved him but I don't think she always loved Stefan, she has other purposes) and then Elena told him it'll always be Stefan.. But killing Jeremy.. Not Good!!!
P.S. LOVED STEFAN!!! I REALLY LOVED STEFAN!!!

Loved the whole episode! Watching it and didn't wanted it to end..
I'm not sure if I have to feel sorry for Damon or that he is just plain selfish (don't get want I want, so I will hurt you). Or maybe he did he so that Elena is going to hate him and don't love him anymore (I agree with Damon that Elena has feelings for him).
Loved Stefan this episode, especially the scenes with Katherine. He's become a bit meaner this episode, not just the 'I'm here to protect you' Stefan.
Cannot wait for next week!

can I ask a question? why is elena selfless? because she told to damon that she will always love stefan, her BOYFRIEND? yes I'm a stelena fan.. but I'm not saying that because of that.. Ok damon and elena have chemistry and tension but... what? she should have let him kissed her just because he was hurt at that moment? I'm not from the USA so perhaps there it's very easy to cheat on your boyfriend isn't it? she does NOT love damon, at least NOT YET!!! She was nice to him at first but he continued kissing her.. I felt really bad for damon with all the denial he faced, I seriously did, but that's not a reason to kiss your brother's gf.. that's what I think..

I loved this episode. Except for Bonnie. She's increasingly angry and bitter. She's proven she can be manipulative, deceitful, and mean. If she's not careful, she's going to become what she claims to be fighting against: the wiccan version of Damon or Katherine.
There may be chemistry and attraction between Elena and Damon, but Elena has repeatedly made it clear that she loves Stefan. That's what the producers said, that's what's in the books, that's what was portrayed last season. I don't want to see her deviate from that because it wouldn't be true to her character. At least not unless something changes.
And while Damon isn't a very nice individual, that had to be horrible being rejected by Katherine and then Elena. It's also in Elena's character to forgive, just as it seems to be in Bonnie's to hold increasingly angry grudges. Elena will forgive Damon soon.
Stefan may have feelings of a sort for Katherine, but they have got to be polluted by the past. And who does

I thought it was a very epiphany moment when Katherine called Damon innocent. Because in the end, through all the hotness, wit and evil he's done, he has and always been very simple. He falls in love with someone and he pretty much just have that one person in mind and pretty much to give his all to that person.

Excuse me? IS everyone at Mystic falls suppose to be supernatural.. i mean. tyler, Mason , Stefan, Damon ( HOTTIE) now caroline? sheesh! Well not to miss KAtherine. I hate Elena for doin tht to Damon, He loves her. N well we found out that Stefan is actually turning evil. really evil. When i saw wat he did to John, i had to recheck wheater it was REALLY STEFAN! I know tht Damon n Elena wont b together this season. The producers revealed it. Plus I think , Stefan will be evil n Damon might be a good-guy this season. Intresting. But seriosuly? I hate Elena n KAtherine. They just cant do tht to Damon. Why dones every woman who Damon fall for love Stefan (the over larger jaw guy) Damon is a sweetheart. For a chnage, i think Katherine is mean, sick, scary, sexy, hot, bitch, hag for hell.... So i think I'm gonna like her. But what she did with Damon was an exception. Damon is ADORABLE! :)

Caroline won't be a vampire until she feeds on human's blood. On season one Vicky turned into a vampire because she died with Damon's blood on her system and then fed on Logan's blood.

yes kathern is a bitch. i really think she loves both damon and stefan. it would have been better in the middle of the season where they found out kathern was back. that way she could kept playing mind games with both guys when elaina isnt around.

things about tonight:
1. stefan is way hotter this season than the past
2. uncle mason is HOT, but tyler is hotter.
3. poor damon, but he's still a douche for "killing" jeremy and try to steal his brother's girl, yes i'm a "stelena" fan.
4. katherine is a bitch, that's no secret at all.
5. i'm pretty sure caroline's gonna turn into a vamp now, remember she has damon's blood in her system so...
6. stefan looks so hot when he gets angry...
7. This was an amazing episode, can't wait for the other really.

Okay for all you people who are Serious Delena shippers(like myself, got SO upset that Elena's being this way about her feelings) We have to still have hope - Remember when Elena found out Damon killed.turned her birth mother???? She said she hated him then. And i know this one was SO much more dramatic, but Come ON - It's DAMON we're talking about here, i mean - How long can somebody hold out from loving him - or even liking him as a friend, for crying out loud. So to be honest, Elena is COMPLETELY to blame here. One thing - She's a sitting duck for a unwelcome Katherine, at SOME point, she's gona get into huge trouble with Katherine(AKA Katherine cornering her and trying to kill her) and eventually Damon will give in on his suicidal downward spiral and stake Katherine - I mean, he SAID something poetic about her death.
Second - She knew exactly how VULNERABLE Damon was when he was sitting on her bed in that tortured state, yet she STILL hid her feelings. And i know - Snapping J
