Grey's Anatomy Round Table: "Superfreak"

at .

Welcome to the TV Fanatic Grey's Anatomy Round Table, in which our panelists discuss the burning questions from the previous episode of the long-running ABC drama.

The topics for our "Superfreak" Round Table Q&A and TV Fanatic's take ...

1. What was your favorite Grey's Anatomy quote from the episode?

L.J. Gibbs: I loved the DerStina component to this week's episode, specifically this plea: "You're flaming out. And as someone who cares about you, it's not okay. I have seen a lot of residents come and go and very very few with your potential. It's not okay."

M.L. House: April's "I'm a virgin. That doesn't make it drinks conversation. We all have stuff we don't talk about." Such cute ignorance. Has she never watched Grey's Anatomy? Sex talk makes up three-quarters of every episode!

Mrs. Northman: Meredith: "Oh April. I'm liking you more and more." I couldn't agree more with Meredith. April is definitely starting to hold her own, especially after she got over her crush on Derek and put everyone in their place.

2. Do you think that Mark and Lexie will get back together soon, later, or never?

L.J. Gibbs: Never. Never, ever again.

M.L. House: Soon. They love each other. That's always enough, unless your husband's hands have turned into tree branches. Then you've gotta get out. That's just gross.

Mrs. Northman: Most likely later. I do believe that these two are MFEO. I just don't understand why everything concerning love on this show is such a struggle. Why can't we have one simply happy couple?

3. More surprising: April being a virgin or Cristina having another freak-out in the OR?

L.J. Gibbs: The extent of Cristina's issues has definitely been a surprise this season, at least in my mind. If anyone would be immune to PTSD, or get over it quickly, I'd assume it would be Cristina Yang. Instead, her road looks like it will be among the hardest.

M.L. House: Cristina. Like Dwayne Johnson during his professional wrestling days, I always thought she was the rock of the hospital.

Mrs. Northman: April being a virgin! I didn't even know 28 year-old virgins existed! All kidding aside, I do give her props for holding out and waiting for the right guy... wish I did that!

Yang in Thought

Cristina's lingering issues came as a surprise to some.

4. Are you beginning to like April or do you still loathe her?

L.J. Gibbs: I like her and not just because she's a virgin or because she stopped meddling with MerDer (although for that we are all grateful). There's a human quality, a certain vulnerability to April that runs counter to many surgeons' cocky nature. Plus, Sarah Drew is cute.

M.L. House: She's fine. But the writers conveniently making her a virgin, just to turn her into a sympathetic character? That I don't like.

Mrs. Northman: See my answer to question 1, please and thank you.

5. After this third episode, which character do you feel needs more/less screen time?

L.J. Gibbs: Ugh. Derek has been way too involved so far this season. I can't look at that face anymore. Just kidding. Everyone still reading? Sorry. In all seriousness, I think we need some shirtless Jackson, STAT. Grey's Anatomy spoiler alert: Prayers answered next week!

M.L. House: The Chief always needs more screen time. Preferably in his office, while dancing.

Mrs. Northman: Jackson! He so needs more screen time! He's a total babe and I really want to see him with the right lady.

Grey's Anatomy Season 7 Episode 3 Quotes

(regarding Cristina) She goes I go.

Derek

Most surgeons grew up as freaks. While other kids played outside, we hold up in our rooms memorizing our periodic table, hovering for hours over our junior microscopes, dissecting our first frogs.
