30 Rock is dipping its toes back into the talented Mad Men water.

Following last season's successful stint by Jon Hamm on the sitcom, fellow cast member John Slattery has signed on to appear alongside Liz Lemon and company later this year.

The man who plays Roger Sterling will take on the role of a candidate for congress on this season's seventh episode, Entertainment Weekly reports. Slattery has actually portrayed a New York politician in the past.

He recurred in that capacity years ago on Sex and the City.
