P.S. I DO NOT LIKE STARK!! I get the whole bringing a contrast character into that department to shake things up after Arizona's perky sunshine and puppies character was off to Africa. I don't like this guy though. We need another strong female "Addison" type character. Just my simple opinion. Alex and Addi worked well together.

I love me some Grey's Anatomy. I do hate this sick feeling that I constantly have about what tragic and horrid thing is waiting around the bend for Meredith. For a bit there I had daggers for April because she seemed so infatuated with Derek. ANYHOW...back to the present....I do want Mark and Lexi to get back together, but I have a nagging suspicion that him and Cali are gonna have a thing now. They both desperately want children, and it would be sort of an unexpected twist. I think Alex has had more than his fair share of crap-o-;a. His past + Rebecca/Ava + Izzy + getting shot....he seems to always end up like he said "taking care of people". Christina just frustrates the crud out of me. She did something fantastic when she saved Derek and I just wish that she could have really risen from that experience instead of the polar opposite.

Not entirely my favorite episode but it had its good moments.
Callie and Cristina at the mall was funny. Callie's hair did turn out to be so cute.
Alex and April...c'mon April, he's had too many crazies...now including his brother. So really, he doesn't want to get close to anyone.
MerDer moment interrupted. I really love how he said, "what did you do?"
Jackson and Lexie, I'm still rooting for Lexie and Mark. Though Jackson's a hot distraction. It's sweet that Jackson thinks April is his only friend.
It broke my heart about Bailey...when she said she needs a win and Cristina was never someone she had to worry about. She lost George and Izzie already...though those characters were never my favorite.

Alex acted like a gigantic a$$ to April...but!... I still think the plot is heading towards an April/Alex relationship, this terrible beginning is something that will make it even more interesting to watch. We're going to see Alex make amends and regain Aprils trust.

I think it sounds like everyone is having a bad day - mostly @stephent.
I've been reading these reviews for a long time now, and I think she did a great job. It is HER opinion/take on what happened this week, and I agree with her. Yes, we all know Alex has been the one character that's a wounded bird, but what he said to Kepner is just plain mean. He knew she was a virgin and he basically ruined her first sexual encounter. What he said to her will forever be ingrained. There's no excuse for treating a person like that and I think people give Alex way too much leeway to be a jerk "because he's Alex".
I think TV Fanatic just keeps getting better. Glad you and your pessimistic views wont be around this site any longer. GOOD RIDDANCE!

This is one of the most lazy reviews of any episode of any show I've ever read on this site. It's not even a review - it's a stream of consciousness. Has the reviewer paid no attention to the character development on Grey's since the beginning of the show, or is this the first episode she watched? Alex is the most flawed, beaten down, wounded character on the show. Did you think he was going to have a sweet "first time" moment with Kepner? Seriously? And what about Derek and Cristina's scenes - he's there for her, talking to her, about everything BUT going back to the hospital. Just what she needs. This is important for her. How can you not see that this new side of her is necessary to create a character that's more than one-sided? And so what if Lexie and Mark are moving on - they're still moving toward it each other, I bet, whether they know it or not. It's a journey. The point it - every character in this show is growing and changing and HEALING from what happened last season - and

Seriously, Alex had to go through his brother being diagnosed with Schizofrenia. I think he's allowed to be kind of an ass on account of all the crap he's getting. Besides, you could kind of tell that he was going to appologise to April at the party. Before Jackson went ape****.

Always love the reviews, but this one's a bit to negative. Had a bad day? I think Alex is a very interesting guy, because even when he's a total a**hole you know it's not because he's a bad guy, but because he's kind of sensitive and worries a lot, but can't show it. Maybe the reviewer likes to watch this episode again from a more possitive view?

Ok guys don't take out yr frustrations on the reviewer! I'd like to see u review an epsiode! I think the scene where Christina cuts Callie's hair to be the funniest of the entire series! It's just hillarious!! As much as I like the deristina relationship that is blossoming... I'm glad Shonda is keeping the Callistina relationship going.
As for Alex, bad things always happen to him, but it doesn't mean he has to be a jerk always. Shonda needs to make him a better person.
I think the whole Slexie storyline is bieng taken overboard, either find new people or get them back together already.
I think that Shonda may have taken a hint from season six House and use a fake but high profile person.
All in all a gud ep, can't wait for the rest if the season.

I am surprised you didnt mention the growing bond between Derek and Cristina. There was something very nice about them discussing construction plans. Its nice that these two interact now after 6 seasons!
