The Event Spoilers: Many Events to Come!

by at . Comments

It may be called The Event, but those behind this NBC drama say its title is a tad misleading. That's because there will be many significant events for fans to consider as the series moves forward.

"Major large-scale, potentially world-changing events will end every season," executive producer Evan Katz tells TV Guide, sounding confident that there will be multiple seasons, despite the show averaging fewer than six million viewers per week.

The first of these major happenings will conclude the November 29 episode, which serves as a mid-season finale.

"We'll learn a great deal about Sophia's people: how many there are, how they've integrated and what the status of Sophia's leadership over them is," says Katz, adding that a new alien villainess (Necar Zadegan) "presents a challenge to Sophia's leadership."

Other cliffhangers on tap?
  • President Martinez will face a military crisis.
  • Sean and Leila will get closer in their search for the latter's abducted sister, Samantha.
  • Leila will receive a shock about one of the characters.
