Amen! Someone else besides me thinks Meredith...you know? The GREY in Grey's Anatomy....has been on the back burner WAY too long. Meredith and Derek are NOT boring. FAR from it. I'm glad they're not fighting...how many years did we endure that? But can we see them as a happy couple? You know, building on the material the writers have written?
Grey's writers, wake up(!!!) and continue to develop Meredith, her fake marriage, her new house, her McBaby, her relationship with Lexie and Thatcher, her bond with Alex, her CAREER. ANY of the above would be greatly appreciated at this point. Please and thank you.

The season's been good so far but I have wondered whatever happened to MerDer. I like it that they're happy and all but I feel like there's a lack of development on who they are as a married couple. It's like after they got their happy ending, that's it. I wanna see more between them aside from talking about Cristina. I know the show shouldn't completely focus on them but they're still the leading couple of the show meaning we still need to see them simultaneously develop as a couple as the series continues.

the idea that there must be fighting for interesting televison shows little respect for the audience. in your reviews of house, the reviewer always complains how they seem to create conflict just to keep it interesting. i love happy MerDer, I just wish there was a little bit more of it. we're seeing slow growth, with the baby. why does the fact that it's called grey's anatomy means one of them needs to break down or break up or something? i like the development of new characters

i've been a merder fan since 4ever. i dont think greys anatomy is boring its just the only reason i watch greys is for meredith and derek and the writters can put more of them in it. their only in the beginning and end..... what happened. i think they should put more scenes with them in it.

I am beyond bored with Callie's relationship with ANYONE! The fact she slept with Mark is repulsive and I don't care who she's with or been with since George left! Her character was made for George and she should have gone when he did. I don't agree with him leaving by the way. Mer/Der's relationship is cute and all "married" couples have plenty of drama and ups and downs so I would expect more of that and be fine with that. But we do need more comedy, which should include Mark and Christina's characters, which bring comedy to the show. Enough about CALLIE!

Anything can be better than 30 seconds together each episode talking about Cristina and nothing ever about them.
Mer/Der are far from boring, which why they still have the biggest fan base after 7 seasons. Shonda and co should use Patrick and Ellen's chemistry when they have them not wasting such a great chemistry when they could've write good storylines about them.
This goes goes to Alex. I love his character and JC is amazing, he's my fav after MerDer. He never really had a SL since Izzie left.. but I guess Teddy, April, Jackson etc are more important now.

Surely interesting plots can be wrttenfor Mer/Der as a married couple. Maybe a legal wedding,doing things married people do. Not everything has to full of angst. I'm tired of too much drama namely frowning Owen/Christina, Calzona,poor Mark and Lexie. Originally Greys was listed as comedy/drama. What happened to the comedy. Let the viewers laugh,there's too much sadness in the world.

this show should seriously be called torres' anatomy, cuz thats all we ever see. no more of the main characters that got us to fall in love with the show originally.

Mer/Der are boring. Matt Roush is being way too nice in the TV Guide article. If they left the show I wouldn't miss them although I do like Derek so he can stay. I'll take the newer characters that have joined the cast since Season 2 any day over Mer/Der.

I think season seven has been pretty good so far but Meredith and Derek are what keep this show... hot!!!The are an awesome tv couple and i think they definitly need more screen time together, where its just them and they aren't worrying about christina or anyone else. They are great together. The show was focused around them mainly from the start and they really need more screen time because they keep the show going!

I have always been a Merder fan and still am. I'm upset at the way writers have gone about their SL. I mean build us up with the whole Derek being shot then Meredith having a miscarriage then have it settled after 1 episode? Come on, with the trauma they went through TOGETHER, it should have been dealt with a lot better than 'I had a miscarriage' then followed by a hug, that's it.
Cristina's PTSD was seriously dragged out way too much and it dragged Merder along with it. SHE WAS NOT THE ONLY ONE THERE! URGGHHH!!! They could have combined both SL a lot better not just make it all about Cristina.
Thank god for Calzona. They have been great to watch. Coz seriously Cristina's SL has been slowly pissing me off. For the rest of the season, I want MORE Merder, MORE Calzona, MORE Mexie. I want LESS Crowina (that couple bores me) and LESS April and Avery. Yes Avery is hot but seriously these two characters serve no purpose and just takes screen times away from the important SLs.

I'm really enjoying the season. I honestly don't understand all the complaining. The show is filled with interesting characters. Over the seasons they all get their time to shine. I've watched from day one and I am a happy fan.

I love the show with its whole cast but Cristina's becoming the center of it is becoming a bit annoying. First because her breakdown should have limits and it reached its limit long time ago. next there is some symbolic attachment with MerDer and i lack them and miss them. What is more i think that it is not necessary to split MerDer to make them interesting. There is a lot more in the relationship than just splitting up and then getting back together. I agree this kind of drama is more intense and engaging but this show is not a simply relationship show. break ups and getting back together can easily be done for other characters, MerDer can start investigating Alzheimer together or could fight about something but at the end of the day still be together. What happened to Derek's being God in the OR or Meredith being different and talented. Why should that change?

I do not believe the show is lacking MerDer conflict, that is not what us fans are missing. We just want to see more of MerDer than the few seconds we get. Out of all the couples, I think they get the least screen time which isn't right since the show is suppose to be about Meredith Grey. I am not one to complain about the lack of MerDer because I trust the writers. I believe they have a great plan that will appear somewhere within the rest of the season. They have always delivered things well in the past so I see no reason to distrust them now. I would imagine they no there has been a lack of MerDer interaction and there is a good reason for it. So until the season ends we really should not criticize Shonda and the rest of the writers.

arggg really hating the lack of merder and i disagree with saying that it is boring without merder conflict. I would be happy with them having really cute scenes that wont last only a minute. I would really like to see them being married and happy and dealing with all their problems. Really hate how writers brush things off soo easily. I for one would not this show if there was no merder. I mean seriously they are the cutest/hottest couple on tv

My problem is not that MerDer don't have conflict, the problem is that MerDer don't have a storyline at all, neither individually nor together...there's nada! Like some poster said, they just show them 30 seconds at the beginning and at the end, sometimes another 30 seconds in the middle but nothing with substance. THe fact that they're happy and finally together doesn't mean that they don't have things to deal with....but it seems that sadly the showrunners and the staff of writers don't know how to write for them without bringing some constrived drama...so sad because for the first 5 episode I was absolutely loving the show in general, but now I'm just losing my hope!

Nobody is saying that the show should be all about MerDer, because it be boring after awhile, but once in a while they should have storyline that last longer than a episode or five minutes.
MerDer fans get that there are other characters that deserve a storyline, but that doesn't mean that the writers should ignore MerDer which is what they have been doing for 3 seasons. We get that they are happy but that doesn't mean that once in while they would have a fight regarding something. There have been 10 episode this season and last season ended with Meredith having a miscarriage and Derek getting shot we haven't seen any reaction from these two. The shooter was looking for Shepherd and Meredith was happy about being pregnant. There must've been an impact on them.

I'm a fan of Grey's since the beginning. But I have to say that in general I love the "outsiders". At first I was watching Grey's because of Addison. After she left I became a huge fan of Callie. And right know, even if Callie and Arizona are my favorites I have to admit that I really appreciate Teddy. So seriously I couldn't care less of MerDer storyline, there are other great characters and I love the show better know.

I disagree with the majority. I am fine with the show the way it is. I didnt FIRST fall in love with the show during the pilot, because of Mer/Der. I fell in love with the ENSEMBLE the whole thing. Not just Mer/Der. I am not one of the fans that will stop watching if Mer or Der leave, or if the show isn't centered around them. Ratings have dropped some but they are still at the top. We had Mer/Der conflict NON STOP from seasons 1-4....I mean that was enough in my book....to each their own though. That being said I am stoked for the new ep!
