Grey's Anatomy Review: "Adrift and at Peace"

at .

On last night's emotional mid-season finale of Grey's Anatomy, "Adrift and at Peace," Scott Foley (from Felicity) premiered as Teddy's new potential love interest, Henry.

Teddy tried to get the Chief to give Henry pro bono medical treatment for his serious medical problems, but the review board decided not to allow it. Then Teddy suddenly proposed to Henry so that he could have her medical insurance.

Do you think they will actually get married?

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT: Will Teddy actually go through with this?

Teddy's proposal seemed to come out of left field, although Teddy did explain how she wanted to do something good to make up for messing up with Cristina.

Plus, Henry and Teddy did have an undeniable spark in the elevator and during their later conversations. Is Henry going to live or die? Is he really the new Denny Duquette?

There must be some new twist to the relationship.

Derek and Cristina have been spending a lot of time together, and it looks like his strategy of giving her space so she could come to terms with her problems finally worked.

The scene in which Derek had the man take a picture of Cristina sobbing while holding her giant trout was one of the most emotional of the episode. The fact that she put the picture in such a public part of her house implied that she is ready to move on.

We'll have to wait and see when she decides to confide in Owen and Meredith, who is clearly getting jealous that Cristina won't talk to her and will do un-Cristina-like things, like fish, with Derek. Does Christina's breakthrough/breakdown mean she's ready to come back to Seattle Grace?

GONE FISHIN': Who knew a neurosurgeon could play psychiatrist as well.

It looks like Mark and Lexie are getting back together after all. Clearly, Jackson has a crush on Lexie, so the love triangle may get complicated.

Who do you think would be a better match for Lexie?

Owen and Meredith's showdown this episode was very interesting. Owen admitted that he feared Meredith's recklessness and her influence on Cristina, while Meredith admitted that she blamed Owen for letting Cristina fall apart.

Owen kicking Meredith out of his OR was an incredibly tense moment. One of the best parts of the show was when Meredith told the newlywed about her recovering husband, "I know right now that all you can see are the machines and the damage, but he's still there."

Owen seemed to take the words, which also apply to Cristina, to heart, so maybe he and Meredith will be able to come to more of a common ground in the upcoming episodes.

Eli, a male nurse at Seattle Grace, is another new character being introduced. Bailey's reaction to him asking her out was priceless. They might be a great team, especially since he singlehandedly solved the fistula mystery, about which Bailey had been obsessing.

The end of the episode was shocking, as Arizona arrived at Callie's front door and told her how much she had missed her, and Callie slammed the door in Arizona's face.

At this point, it's unclear whether Arizona will stay in Seattle and whether they will get back together, but Callie admitted throughout the night that she still missed Arizona.

What did you think of the episode? Tell us below! Here are some of the night's best Grey's Anatomy quotes ...

Callie: Sex with you just makes me sad. | permalink
Meredith: There are no bathrooms out there, you know?
Cristina: I know. | permalink
Henry: How do I look? I'm about to propose to my girlfriend, so besides the gown and the IV and the ghostly pallor from being in the hospital for the past week... what do you think... do I have a shot?
Teddy: She'd be a fool to say no. Good luck. | permalink
Mark [to Lexie]: I miss you! | permalink
Cristina: Can I make a suggestion.
Derek: Yeah.
Cristina: If you mount the rod-holders mid-ship, we can both reach the rods from either end of the boat. After you called last night, I did some research. I didn't want to be any less than sea-worthy.
Derek: It's a lake.
Cristina: Still.
Derek: Actually, it's ... it's a great idea.
Cristina: You may need clip-on mounts to clear the gunnels.
Derek: Are you gonna be like this all day?
Cristina: I can't help it. | permalink
April: Sparkle... that was the name of my pony. | permalink
Jackson: Anybody want my soup? It's reminding me of pancreatic fluid. | permalink
Teddy: Cristina Yang is fishing today. She is one of the most talented surgical residents I have ever seen and she is fishing instead of operating, and that is partly my fault. I just want to do something good today ... make it up, pay it forward ... whatever you want to call it. I ... I just need to do some good. | permalink
Cristina: Is this typical? I mean to go for hours without a bite?
Derek: Well, the only thing predictable about fishing is that it's unpredictable.
Cristina: Wow, that's deep.
Derek: Yeah, why don't you ponder that for a while. Quietly.
Cristina: Cristina: I can't stop. I can't turn my mind off. | permalink
Derek: You know the fish can hear you. Did you read about that in your research? Fishing is supposed to be quiet. | permalink
Meredith: I know right now all you can see are the machines and the damage, but he's still there. | permalink
Callie: I'm still awesome. | permalink
Owen: Do you want to know what I think? I think you are reckless. I think you are reckless with your own life and today you were reckless with a patient's life. I don't care who you are. I don't want that in my OR, and I don't want that around my wife who is struggling just to hold on.
Meredith: Your wife is struggling just to hold on because you married her and let it be ok for her to completely fall apart. | permalink
Meredith: The goal of any surgery is total recovery - to come out better than you were before. Some patients heal quickly and feel immediate relief. For others the healing happens gradually, and it's not until months or even years later that you realize you don't hurt anymore. So the challenge after any surgery is to be patient. But if you can make it through the first weeks and months, if you believe that healing is possible, then you can get your life back. But that's a big if. | permalink
Arizona: You look really pretty. | permalink

Grey's Anatomy Season 7 Episode 10 Quotes

She [Christina] doesn't do the wildnerness. There aren't even any bathrooms in the wilderness.

Meredith

The first 24 hours after surgery are critical. Every breath you take, every fluid you make, is meticulously reported and analyzed. Celebrated or mourned. But what about the next 24 hours? What happens with that first day turns to two and weeks turn into months? What happens when the immediate danger has passed, when the machines are disconnected and the teams of doctors and nurses are gone? Surgery is when you get saved, but post-op, after surgery, is when you heal. But, what if you don't?
