Chris Medina, Thia Megia and Molly DeWolf Swensen: Milwaukee's Best

at .

Milwaukee proved last night that it's more than just the land of beer, brots and Aaron Rodgers.

The city delivered a number of impressive American Idol hopefuls, several of whom we could see in the finals. With apologies to Scott Dangerfield (22-year old student teacher), Naima Adedapo (25-year old grounds crew worker at a musical festival) and Jerome Bell (27-year old bar mitzvah/wedding singer), the following trio of Hollywood-bound contestants truly stood out:

Chris Medina: The Chicago native advanced due to his rendition of The Script's "Break Even," but he left an impression due to the tragic tale of his brain-damaged fiancee, who appeared on the show and was present when Chris got the news that he was moving on.

Thia Megia: Only 15, with a movie star name, as Jennifer Lopez noted. Seemed very natural and comfortable while singing Adele's "Chasing Pavements." A definite contender.

Molly DeWolf Swensen: She's 22. She graduated from Harvard. She interns at the White House. She's beautiful. She wowed us with "(Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay." Yeah. She might have a good chance.
