House will finally return - with dramatic cases and big surprises - with new episodes on January 17.

It will also introduce viewers to Cuddy's stern mother, played by veteran actress Candice Bergen. She'll have many questions for House, many of them having to do with his long-term plans for her daughter and their relationship.
