A sober Frank Gallagher is harder to imagine than a sober Lindsay Lohan.

But William H. Macy tells TV Guide this is exactly what fans of Shameless will see in a few weeks, as his character voluntarily gives up the drink around episode six. But it won't last.

"He becomes a really cool father," Macy says. "It gives you a glimpse into the father that Frank might've been or could be. My oldest boy, Lip, can't take it. He Tasers me and pours vodka in my mouth."
