I think it might be a brilliant move. Am a rabid fan of this series (have watched every episode, even of the short-lived Trial by Jury series) But this show has me stumped i watched every episode but haven't built any rapport or empathy with the 2 lead detectives and its already past 13 episodes!....means time to try something else. Good luck to the fella.

I think it is a big mistake to write his character out. Its never good to change characters so fast. Viewers need to be invested and this show is way too new to be having this many changes.
The cops are the only real glue to this particular series that makes everything cohesive, because they jump back and forth between the lawyers.
I personally really like his character and I am saddened to here that he is being written off.

Thank you.
I didn't mean to insinuate that.
I know he can't help if a cast member wants to leave, but firing characters won't help a show. Especially if you really the character. It puts you off it.
I don't watch this series, I only want SVU. That one is great. I own them all on DVD. I just think that if he keeps up the cast changes, people won't stick around.
SVU has only had few cast changes, and that has been 3 lawyers. They just need a permeant ADA - which they may have.

@Aries93: Yes, technically you are correct. But all shows eventually leave the air. Your initial statement somehow made it seem like Wolf can't put together a decent series, when the Law & Order franchise is the most successful in TV history.

Well, Dick Woof has made several Law and Orders. 2 has been cancelled. One being, Law and Order: Trial By Jury. Another being the original Law and Order series. And now, Law and Order: Criminal Intent has not been renewed and is about to face it's last season. Thankfully Law and Order: SVU still on. It's the only one I watch.
