Why do people like shows like this?

Even shows like Gossip Girl and 90210 (both of which I love, but, admittedly, can be a little over the top and outrageous) are more realistic than the new MTV Skins

for eveybody who thinks its an exact copy if you saw any of the interviews you would know that only the fist episode is exactly the same and afterwards its supposed to take "an American" twist so don't judge it before youve seen at least a few episodes. Also, most of the cast is acting for the first time and in these types of roles i think they did a pretty good job

i'm sticking to the uk version if the us keep doing these episodes like that. nothing interesting...
i though that for it being a remake, they would base their story on the characters, not copy it.

personnally, I don'i know why american couldn't satisfy themself with the UK version! Come on, I'm french and I'm watching UK & US shows and I understand. No need to make a french remake...I could really think americans live in their own world sometimes.

There was NO reason to remake this series. The UK series', especially the first two, were awesome.
The US version is a travesty, and I'll bet those actors are trying too hard to be authentic--either you are or you aren't. The American cast isn't.

it ended like that because that's how the british one ended. and stanley is a dumb ass name. they could have at least been creativly different. why would u watch the exact same tv show when you could just watch the british one?
