Glee Catches Bieber Fever: First Look!

by at . Comments

It's officially spread all the way to William McKinley High School, and there's nothing Puck, Artie and Mike can do about it.

We refer, of course, to Justin Bieber Fever.

As teased in the official promo for "Comeback," tomorrow night's new installment will center around Sam's plan to start a tribute band. Why do the aforementioned New Directions member wish to join? What do they want to call the group? Find out in the following clip.

Once again, where is Chris Colfer in these last two episodes? ?

Okay. I get to say this because I'm his grandmother's age. But where is my favorite baby, Chris Colfer? Cudos for winning the Golden Globe, but why the absence on the show??? Disappointment!

Thanks 'guest' for that info, yeah there's obsessed tweens here too, bit depressing really. These Disney kids make me retch.

@Sez: Don't know how this translates in Britain, but a sophomore is in their second year of high school, and so is typically 15-16. I personally have no interest in Bieber, but he is enormously popular in the US - mostly in the "tween" population, but he also has some flagship colonies of fandom in older teens.

As a Brit I have no clue what Jr High or 'sophomore' means in regards to age, soz (we don't have Jr High here and don't use the term 'sophomore').
Basically Bieber's what 14 or something and I thought the Glee kids are about 16/17. Maybe I'm wrong (probably due to the actors being older than their characters)? If Justine is any older he sure as hell doesn't look it (he looks about 11).

Sam looks weird like that... I don't really dig "the biebs".

Actually, Justin Bieber is a junior in high school I think. As are all of the glee cast... except Sam. he's a sophomore..so he's younger then him

I don't get how this is making the girls go into a frenzy, aren't they all MUCH older than that little pre-pubescent twerp. I thought the only girls to go mad over Bieber were like preteens 10-12, makes me lose a lot of respect for them (if in particular Mercedes goes mad over it I will really be upset). This writing is so unrealistic, the 'kids' are way too old for this crap. Sue had better mock A LOT or this episode is really going to bug me.

Glee Quotes

You know, a great big fat person once stood on this stage and told a group of a dozen or so nerds in hideous disco outfits that glee, by its very definition, is about opening yourself up to joy. Now it's no secret that for a long time I thought that was a load of hooey. As far as I could see the glee club was nothing but a place where a bunch of cowardly losers go to sing their troubles away and delude themselves into thinking that they live in a world that cares one iota about their hopes and dreams, totally divorced from the harsh reality that in the real world there's not much more to hope for than disappointment, heartbreak, and failure. And you know what. I was exactly right. Thats exactly what glee club is. But I was wrong about the cowardly part. What I finally realized, now that I'm well into my late thirties, it takes a lot of bravery to look around you and see the world not as it is but as it should be. A world where the quarterback becomes best friends with the gay kid, and the girl with the big nose ends up on Broadway. Finding the courage to open up your heart and sing about it. That's what glee club is. And for the longest time I thought that was silly, and now I think it's just about the bravest thing that anyone could do.

[to Finn] You know, I don't really know what's going to happen between us, but I know that you used to be the guy that would make me feel like the most special girl in the whole world, and it doesn't feel that way anymore. Now it just feels sad and confusing. And the worst part is that it doesn't even feel that bad anymore.
