I don't think there's any communication issues between Mer & Der.They've passed this, they talk & discuss things now days...& I agree with Smriti Der left Mer after the eye test was taken, he just gave her some space to be with her friend, I wish he could teach Mark how to give some breathing space to other people, but then again Dereck is not selfish, irresponsible & sleeping around without a condom type of a person, so yes, there's no hope for Mark to be a half of a man that Dereck is...so Mer is really lucky there.

omg I blabbered too much didn't I? But gee thats me and my MerDer love and I have been struggling to piece the epi together ever since it aired and finally finally I am able to relate with both Mer and Der's pov so yeah finally its all making sens
And oh just came back to say I don't beleive Der left her in the middle of the examination When Mer was in the room with Cris the doc had already examined her and she was just waiting for her eyes to clear or something and he might have left when Cris came in not before that There is no way in hell he would have left without making sure she is okay and she has company and in a way he did the right thing b giving space and taking space coz else they would have hit the roof and she didn't need that right now

The sad thing is we all are sititng here and talking so much about it interpreting piecing things together via their expressions their eyes when in reality the thing should be that we all get to SEE these things out there in the epi But

Okie first of all saying Mer is going back to her older self is way WAY too exaggerated This was no freaking big deal people MerDer ARE MERDER They have move passed that level where they can't reach out or can't talk to each other They can talk to each other about any and everything Like Mer said to Cris in season six "for a long time its just been u and me but now its me and Derek too" They share everything from randomest of gossip like Mark slept with Addi while he was in LA dealing with his sick child to bigger things like Mer getting tested for Alz genes So plz there is seriously NO communication gap btw them. In fact if you see they have done every freaking small step for this pregnancy together i mean he was the one who gave her the fertility shots and that too in such a romantic adventurous way. He is trying hard to make this whole phase exciting for her and to not let the disappointment and the failed pregnancies get to her which is just beyond adorable and tlaks volumes about

Good EP,including everyone, every couple, but the most I love is 3 men play golf &drink a beer on the roof, you can see their frustrated face,so funny & sex
like Callie said Mark'll be a good dad, but could lost Lexie forever,AZ should walk away,Callie's the most lucky charther in S7, she got all she wants
I feel sad to Owen,Cristina doesn't care about what he wants in their marriage life, she think she love career more than a family, give her the time to figure out, if GA has S10, Owen's the big chance to get his wish
April & Stark is a suprising and interesting
Chief should retire if your wife got sick, she need you, not your money at this moment
Derek should tell Mer don't take the risk and No kid you two also will be happy

@i_am_a_fan, good point about the Alzheimer thing. I didn't think of that, and it totally makes sense. I still think she's not over the miscarriage trauma and that both of these things cause her obssession. I agree that she didn't tell Derek because she didn't want him worry too much, and that she tried to convince herself that it all wasn't that bad. Maybe saying that she is returning to her old habits is a bit exaggerated, but it seems to me that this is a typical thing Meredith. It kind of reminded me of that hilarious conversation between Mer and Cris in the cafeteria about walking away from problems (when Derek was in the woods after screwing up a surgery). Cris said something like:"It's simple. If you have a problem, don't ignore it. It won't go away." and Mer said: "Well, sometimes, if you have to pee and you ignore it, it does go away."
Anyways, maybe it's just my disappointment about the lack of MerDer!?

@ana114: I'm not sure. I get that she didn't tell him earlier, beca

People Meredith didn't tell Derek about her eyesight earlier because it wasn't bad in the beginning. I have eyesight problems in the beginning you don't think it's a big deal, until it really bother you. I got the impression that in the morning she just couldn't see the small print on the plans and on her watch, by the time she got to the OR it got worse, and started to not see big things like the skull. I understand that Derek was pissed but he overacted, because between Mer and Der, Meredith shares her feeling and fears with Derek, more than Derek does with her. If bother him so much that she didn't tell him about her eyesight then he should told her so and not go to the roof and whine about it.

A word of advice have low expectation with MerDer, the promo are deceiving. Just because the promo have a lot of MerDer doesn't mean that there will be lot of MerDer on the episode, be aware of that and you won't get disappointed.

@neens I don't completely agree with you although i am with you 100% i did too feel robbed but i don't think mer did not tell derek sooner because she is being like old times. I think that meredith did not want to tell derek because she knew he would take it seriously and make her stop taking the drugs so she kept it to her self and kept kidding herself through out the day that it was not a big deal and that was the irresponsible part.
And about the baby thing i think her obsession to have a baby right now is because she is facing a huge time line problem because of the Alzheimer fear, but i don't agree that she should go to the extend to risk her sight for the drugs.

  10. Grey Area

    Smriti,

I agree with you 100%. I am just so used to not having MER/DER around or feeling robbed that I felt what's the point of posting about it anymore? I was really hoping this last part of the season was going to be MAINLY them. I know this is harsh but I hope Callie loses the baby already so we can move on with the true baby storyline. Sorry CAM fans but I am just a neglected Mer/Der fan :(
