Is Katy Perry THE Mother?!?

at . Comments

No. That's the quick, easy answer to the question posed in the headline above.

But Katy Perry makes us laugh in the following promo for How I Met Your Mother by telling Neil Patrick Harris she's excited over her guest-starring turn on the sitcom. The reason? She's the mother!

Not really, of course. Check out a trio of funny spots between Perry and NPH below, as the former will play a woman who interacts closely with the latter on "Oh Honey."

Love the promos. They have kind of an SNL vibe about them but I think it gets the fans closer to the actors and their characters than simply having a commercial for the episodes. I was a bit leery of having Katy Perry on the show as I'm not a fan of her music but I don't like Britney either and they handled her guest spot very well. If carter and Bays are behind this and think it's good for the show, I'm not inclined to disagree, as this has consistently been one of the funniest shows on television for the last couple years. As a DISH customer/employee I get the most HD channels in the industry, and though I'm not much of a fan of her seeing, I have to say I'm looking forward to seeing Katy Perry in HD.

HIMYM Quotes

Barney: Ladies and gentlemen, I have in my hand a copy of tonight's Top Ten list. The category: top ten things I would've called my truck...
Ted: It was never your truck.
Barney: if Ted hadn't been a jerk and given it back.
Ted: It was a rental.
Barney: Number ten, "The Winne-Bango." Number nine, "The Pick-Up Truck." Number eight, "The Ford Explore Her." Number seven, "The You Scream Truck." You Scream. (they all laugh) Number six, "Feels on Wheels!" Hello! Number five, "The Ride Her Truck." Number four, "The 18-Squeeler." Number three, "The Esca-Laid." Number two, "The Slam-Boney." and... the number one thing I would've called my truck if Ted hadn't been a jerk and given it back... "The '69 Chevy."

Sometimes things have to fall apart to make way for better things...we're done here.
