anybody can write a predictable 2 episode arc where the characters from the middle east end up being terrorists. The way Castle presented it was a fresher take with psychology behind the actions of these ex-military men that can be understood. If this plot twist turned you off to the 2 best episodes of the series to date, you've got to wonder just how close-minded you actually are.

Axis of evil... you need to stop drinking the fox news Kool-Aid, because your punch-drunk state just made you miss out on some of the best television of the young decade.

Fillion, Katic, cast, crew, and writers: congratulations. You just made the jump from quality television with a target audience to outstanding, award quality art. Take a bow. You deserve it!

i loved this episode. i loved how the castle and beckett were locked in the freezer. although it is such a horrible thing, i'm glad it happened. i just wish i knew what kate was going to say before she became unconcious: "Castle. I just wanted you to know how much I l..." all of us Caskett shippers knew she was going to say love you. grr josh grr

Loved the episode, but I wish they would finally get together. Years ago they had Hart to Hart and that was a great show, and they were married. Lets get this over with so we can have a wedding show. Also loved the rest of the cast as well..

HAHA I thought I was the only one that caught the Jack Bauer ref and I'm not even a 24 fan! I loved this ep Marlowe is a very gifted writer.

If House and Cuddy can make a go of it (House), I’m not too concerned about Beckett and Castle. Marlowe and Co. have clearly put their bets on making them earn this relationship, but it will happen and it will be amazing. Season 3 has been about Castle’s increasing devotion to his detective-muse and Beckett’s slow awakening to her feelings toward him. What I want to see more of is Kate, and her private feelings. Stana Katic is starting to own her character, and the actress has the range to spare and I want to see more of that put to use.

It’s good, character-driven stuff to have them develop in this way – all the characters are deepening this season – and it has the commercial benefit of keeping fans glued to ABC in that busy Monday night 10pm timeslot. Seriously – the tone is light, the writing is always sharp, the mysteries are dizzying and sometimes even surprising for this jaded mystery fan.

I think your going to get pro's and con's from all your fans, I must say that I love Castle so much it is a great series and I will keep on watching as long as it's on air. The last two episodes kept me on my toes and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

I'm probably the only one who doesn't want Castle and Beckett together...I like the chemistry they have as friends too much, I guess. Does that make me any less of a fan? While this episode was a little too "24" for my taste, the ending earned the episode a gold star. Nothing breaks a suspenseful moment like Castle thinking "Oh, what the Hell" and desperately pulling all the wires, and that triumphant cry of his...THAT is the mood I love about Castle, and I guess I just didn't get enough of that mood in this episode until that moment showed up. So, a good episode, yes...but I still hope these ones are few and far between.

i enjoyed castle very much, but castle is so much in love with kate ,and the little touches between them is not enough, he keeps getting hurt and she moves on to different guys, i know they cant get together seriously because then there would be no show.

Last night was a great show. Such suspense. When are they going to wake up and realize they are meant for each other.

Did anyone else realize that the names of the conspirators added to be Jack Bauer???

I have to be honest. I don't know what program Sunny, ZukiLama and SnaketheCritic were watching, but it wasn't the “Castle” episode on my set.

First; “J.A.G.” flirted with the prospect of a relationship between its two main characters for ten years (TEN!) and did so quite successfully. Yes, it can get somewhat frustrating, but in the end I for one think it’s for the best. Stana Katic is a big advocate of getting Beckett and Castle together, and I respect her opinion; she’s a “Zorba the Greek”, “Live life to the fullest” kind of gal. She uses “The Thin Man” movies as one of many great examples of how married couples/characters can interact well on-screen. And I agree -- WHEN you introduce the characters as a couple and begin your relationship with the audience in that way.

I think we should respect Andrew Marlowe's vision and timing of if, when, and how Castle and Beckett will finally get together. But it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that if th

I very much enjoy Castle but not the last 2 episodes.

It was very disturbing to watch the US military vilified - and an auxiliary member of the axis of evil - Syria - glorified.

Syria was presented as an oh so sympathetic supporter of the US and the US military was presented as having cadres of militant crazies.

What is it about the "Hollywood ABC" mentality that causes liberal elitists to despise the US and glorify Muslim terrorits?.

ABC should be ashamed of itself for presenting such political propaganda.

When will ABC have the courage to present the real ongoing 911 threats to our freedom?

When will ABC tell the true story of the mass murder of so many innocent people at the military base in San Antonio - committed by a Muslim terrorist?

I am not holding my breath!

honestly, i'm glad he yanked the wires instead of doing something more dramatic..it would have been similar to all the other crime shows..and think about it, when you have like 5 seconds left, yanking all the wires is the only logical thing to do

  15. This episode was great! The pulling of all the wires wasn't cartoon-ish, it was Castle, like Beckett said she didn't know what the hell he was doing. And to the other comment about them being put in two situations where they faced death and still didn't do anything, I challenge that. In the freezer they were cuddled together, yes everyone would do that for warmth, but for me it was when she went to to touch his face and tried to get her lips close to his, that proved her feelings for him. And then the bomb scene when the clock was ticking down, they held hands and stared at each other, they didn't say anything at this moment because nothing had to be said, both of them knew what would come out of the others mouth. And Beckett even said that Castle looked at her then just pulled out the wires.

I was seriously disappointed in this episode. The popularity of Castle is not due to the cases but the interplay between all the characters in solving them and the underlying romantic tension between Castle & Beckett. This episode has two (2) opportunities for one or both of them to openly address their feelings as they thought they were about to die....but instead the viewers were left hanging - again. I was more understanding about it last season in the 2-parter w/ Dana Delaney but this is getting ridiculous now. The yearning, meaningful glances are too little, too late. As a loyal fan I feel constantly toyed with!

  17. ZukiLama

I loved it! All the seriousness and tension and running around everywhere and then Castle goes all-or-nothing and pulls all the cables! hahahahaha, very Castle of him. I like this show because even though it has its dark/serious side, most of the time it goes towards the funny side. If I wanted to watch serious/realistic police work I'd watch some or Law & Order or something. But since I watch it for the Caskett, this was filled with awesome little smiles and stuff. What I didn't like, is that now Dr. Motorcycle boy came back for Beckett, so she's going to put her other foot in. She did seem genuinely happy when she saw Josh in the end, which means that things are just going to get harder for Castle. But 'common, if it were easy, it wouldn't be the same, would it? ;D

  18. SnakeTheCritic

To say this episode was a bit cartoonish is putting it mildly. The pulling of wires was just comical.. Also the FBI had all kinds of resources to catch a serial killer. Homeland Agent had a guy and a laptop to stop a national disaster. I excluded the NYPD and Castle as we get them every week. Marlowe created and suddenly killed one of the few shows I watch on Network TV..

    :(
