I thought the episode was a disaster. I have become accustomed to the music at the end of each episode although I don't really like it. The script writers are excellent and certainly don't need a "Glee knockoff."

i liked it. i feel like a lot of the people who hated it were never open to it from the beginning. they thought, it's stupid, i hate it. i think in this instance it made sense in callie's mind.
on a side note, did anyone else feeling that teddy's hostility regarding cristina came out of nowhere?
if i had one wish....i wish that i could hagn out whith the doctors in seattle grace whenever i want:)

Callie has a beautiful voice and I didn't mind her singing, but not as much as she did. The rest of the cast looked and sounded silly and the noise from all the singing and the characters running around arguing, gave me a headache by the end of the show. The greatest criticism I have had of this show from the beginning is the stupid singing and music at the end of each episode when there is a dramatic moment and dialogue between main characters which I would like to hear, and which is drowned out by the noise. Last night's show drowned out all the dialogue and totally annoyed me. When a show has good writers and actors, it doesn't need gimmicks to get attention, and it certainly doesn't need a lot of noise to make it exciting. Seriously, does anyone care that 10-20 doctors were running around taking care of Callie and ignoring the rest of the patients?

I am disappointed, i thought Mark and Lexie will have something going on BUT seems like I am wrong.. Why Lexie still go home with Jackson..=( I wonder what will happen to Mark.. seems like next epsiode the baby might die. I can't imagine will Mark be able take it that his baby is dieing and his love (Lexie) left him. Frankly speaking, it is a kind of torture to watch. I don't really like season 7 and in addition the next epsiode will only be back 3 weeks or 1 month back..

On rewatching the episode, the baby Sl seems to be giving lots of hints that the babies prognosis isn't the best cao is so premature
the storyline was very good but i'm still not sure if i liked the musical part of the episode.
the singing was ok, i was actually surprised how much i liked lexie's and meredith's singing voices. they sounded great!
who i didn't like at all was owen. he sounded as if singing on stage in an opera. my speakers started making these disgusting humming noises every time he started to scream.. uh sing.
i also didn't like the dancing, i never really knew whether they were aware of themselves singing and dancing or not... it was kinda weird.
comparing this episode to the buffy musical episode (which i watch and sing along to every time i meet my best friends), this really wasn't what i expected. sometimes it was just too much.. everyone talking and someone singing at the same time. i felt like i had to choose whether i wanted to listen to the song or what they were talking about. they could have done a better job in those scenes.
the episode was good, but more because of the storyline and

I love ep18 , all songs are amazing, It's sad to hear some fans don't like this, so I spend time to rewatch 3 times tonight, my comment's as below
1> it'll be better if ep18's 2 hours
2>if reviewer's over 15M, can do agian,
3>GA producder may be thinking to do the music special for Moivie, not TV, like sex & city

I didn't like this episode. I'm going to have to listen to all the original versions of these songs again. It's intersting to see some feedback on this page loves the episode, and some like me found it very off putting.
It'll be interesting to see how much of an effort is made to publicise 7.19 after such a huge broadcasting gap again. 7.18 had a megga campaign of publicity

the episode was AMAZING! CALLIE blew me away when she sang the first note of "Chasing Cars"...totally amazing! :)
I liked the episode but it would have been just as good possible better with out the singing or with just Callie singing then every one singing 'How to save a life'. Overall it was still a good episode but no more musicals please thats what I watch 'Glee' for, lol :)

Was a heart wrenching episode that was TOTALLY RUINED!
Callies situation should've been the highlight not the singing. If the actors and actresses on the show wanted to be singers, don't you think they would've chose a different career ( which they did not, which is my point)
the Concept of doctors singing? Absolutely retarded!
I love Greys but it was hard to focus on the story with all
the stupid singing interrupting the flow....
They need to do the same episode again but NO SINGING
BY THE CHARACTERS!!

plz plz don't do this again.. this could've been an amazing episode with out the singing! if i wanted to see a musical i could go to a Broadway musical!! this is not glee .. we love the show because its serious and intense with an amazing drama that keeps us on the edge of our seats.. but this musical episode is a DISASTER ! it was so freaking annoying if they did this again i'm sure they're gonna lose a lot of viewers and that would be a shame because grey's anatomy is one of the most incredible shows iv'e ever seen!

I did like Callie's singing -- but the rest of the musical was totally wrong for this fantastic program. As other viewer's have stated, the acting was outstanding, but the musical approach was totally inappropriate for a very special tv series. Please don't try this again -- I will not stay with this program if this is the direction for future episodes.

i think the concept was kool but certain things should have been left out especially that 'walking on sunshine scene' was so out of place, callie was awesome ,my favourite scene was when she sang 'grace' and 'the story' but common the rest didnt sound so good, Owen sounded weird like an old man with no teeth, for the most parts i could only think of christina saying SERIOUSLY!! but whatever it was still kinda cool

Im sorry this episode was really freaking annoying! Callie's singing was good, it would've worked for me if she was the only one singing! This isn't an episode of Glee, if I wanted to spend my time watching people sing I would've watched Glee on my DVR or went to a broadway musical! This episode wasn't the appropriate one to have a singing gala! It was depressing enough and the singing made it worse! i wanted intense acting, like the scene between meredith and derek in the elevator was one of the high points in the show, or between mark and arizona when he told her she's nothing, those are the type of scenes that needed to be in this episode! If they ever do this again to a serious episode of grey anatomy I'm so over this show!

I think Grey's totally pulled this episode off. The premise of it being a musical was rational and the way they portrayed it, for me, was rather classy and elegant. They didn't necessarily have doctors bursting into song but rather the characters themselves singing what the background music of the episode would've been. Admittedly a few songs were off base but over-all, it was fun to watch and the episode kept its Grey's identity.

This was so extremely painful to watch, please never put me through this again or I am likely to stop watching even though I've been a fan from day one. This is a drama, not a Glee... Please get us back to the original drama format we know and love. These characters you've so well developed do not show well as karaoke singers...

i actually liked this episode. i don't think there's anything bad with trying to switch things up a little. and omg, callie's voice was sooo freakin amazing! i'm glad that they gave her such a big role in this episode because clearly she is the best singer of them all, though the others were all good.
and i thought that teddy's reaction to cristina was pretty unreasonable.. it kind of seemed like an ego thing to me, and she was obviously embarassed to have been bested by cristina. i don't get why she was so reluctant to try something new..she didn't even bother to take time to think on it. at least read over the information cristina prepared and come up with a legitimate reason to not do it..it was really petty of her to refuse to teach cristina. she should have just owned up to her faults (refusing to listen, reluctant to change, stubborn, pigheadedness, the list goes on..).
it's kind of scary how people are so afraid of change... there are new improvements and technology made

YOU MUST BE KIDDING! I'm not going to be watching the show if it turns into Glee. This use to be my favorite show. I woke up at 2 AM thinking that I had a nightmare. The worst show ever!!!!
To have Callie singing was ok, but once everyone else started singing I thought I was going to loose it.

I thought this was awesome! By far my favorite episode since episode 1. The way it was written made it like art in the fact that it left much of it's meaning up to the interpretation up to the viewer.
