I did not like this episode with all the singing doctors. Ot was really corny! I actually kept turning the volume down whenever they started to sing a song. And I fell asleep before the show ended. It was very boring. I think this episode would have been better left in the normal format. the music was too distracting for me.

Forgot to mention that the one thing I loved most about this episode is that you got to see more of Arizona. She is my favorite character and I wish they would give her more time. I don't get the obsession with new characters, they have such great actors already, why don't they focus on those? Either way it was nice to see a storyline with Arizona more in focus. I do agree though that the music took away from the drama, when episode was done I caught myself thinking "was this all there was? huh?". Most of all I am confused as to why they brought in Kate Walsh to have her actually be on screen for what, 2 minutes? Should have had lesser songs and more drama. Still think it was good, just saying it could have been much much better.

First off, let me say that I love musicals. When a TV show pulls off a musical episode well, I find it very enjoyable, so I really wanted this episode to be awesome. Sara Ramirez was amazing and some of the rest of the cast did a really good job, but I do feel that for this particular episode, it didn't work. The music didn't enhance the episode, in fact it took something away from the story. Some of the actors actually seemed uncomfortable with the musical scenes, at least it looked like it from their body language. The episode didn't flow well from spoken scenes to songs -- the action was choppy as a result and the dramatic performances weren't as strong as they could have been. I also wasn't into the songs they used. I know that the idea was to incorporate some of the "iconic music of Grey's Anatomy," but a musical TV episode works better when it uses original music instead of trying to bend popular songs to fit the situation at hand (For a terrific example watch Buffy the Va

I was very skeptical to this episode, but overall I think they managed quite nicely. I agree there were too many songs, and some I didn't like at all. I'd say the song I disliked the most was Running on Sunshine. To me it felt out of place, and forced. First you get the awfulness of the accident and then suddenly they are jumping around and dancing? What? I thought Shonda said that was what they wanted to avoid. But overall, very interesting. Surprised at how many great singers hide amongst the cast.

There is no internal cohesian in this episode, the idea that this is Callie's hallucinations i proposterous. But it was most certainly some of the most entertaining television I'v seen in a long time. Cheesy but since when was was Grey's Anatomy a serious programme?
On a side note, i pretty much always watch Private Practice just after Greys anatomy, and although it has its failings, it has a better grip on storytelling a relationship.

Please do us a favour and never do musical episode again. so corny, awkward and really took away from the actual drama. ps. i predicted a car accident. spice it up greys! how about something less ultra traumatic. something in the middle range for a while. sometimes it gets to fake. by the end every single one of the characters will have been in a near death situation, boring!!!

this was a very intense episode, and i think the singing was perfect for the "setting".
i really liked callie, and most of the girl singers. however, the guys were not my fave.---mark was Ok,but i dont like owens voice.

It didnt bother me but at some times I just burst out laughing! It kind of made sense that Callie was singing but when Owen started we just got a big knee slapping roar! I love this show stil but mostly the singing was silliness but I did like the songs.. well maybe I needed a laugh..
...personally I didn't think it really worked, it's the wrong type of show to pull it off. Admittedly there was some good voices. Did anyone else smile to themselves and start singing Guy Love?......just me then.....

Horrible horrible stuff.Like fingernails scratching on a blackboard.Couldn't watch more than ten minutes of it.I was embarrassed for them.
Grey's is not Glee so we should not have the singing in Grey's.
STOP IT, STOP IT NOW.
MERDER LOVER!!!!! :)

I really was looking for this episode, as I love musicals, I wasn't against it. But I agree with those who are saying the singing was distracting and disturbing. Not hearing some dialogues because of the music was not cool for me. What I prefered was the non-singing scenes. I'm not denying they sang pretty good, but I think there was too many songs. As for the feeling, sorry but I didn't feel anything during the songs/Callie's life in danger but the tears came right away at the MerDer elevator scene. I didn't wanted to cry but that's for Meredith I really felt for in this episode. And yet, I have nothing wrong to say about other actors acting, they were great but maybe the music disturb me too much...

I like this episode. Don't know why almost all of you don't. Of course it's not really realistic that doctors start singing during a surgery cause that would be reaaally weird. But these songs were Callies visions while she was unconscious. Some songs could have been left out, but I loove Chasing cars. I got goosebumps everywhere.. didn't know there are great singers at greys.

I absolutely LOVE Grey' Anatomy but this musical episode was HORRIBLE in my opinion...it was very difficult to follow the story line with all the bad singing...I hope they never do this again.

It was a solid episode! I truly ecxpected more!! I wanted more drama and someone to die! The should make it more dramatic! and more Grey's anatomy style!!
The really BIG MOMENT was the MerDer elevator scene! It had emotion and it was just HUMAN!
I love the series but they haven't any interesting story to tell! Hope after season eight it's over, and they create a series just about Christina and her new job on her way o become a Cardio-good! !

I thought it was beyond bad and so gimmicky. This show is not in anyway original and this type of episode has been done so much better by other shows. This show is just not that good. I don't get the love for it. The characters morph week to week from who we thought they were to fit ridiculous situations, new characters appear all the time, the awful cross promotion with that other Rhimes show Private Practice which is unwatchable. Ms Rhimes success is a complete mystery to me.
