So grey's the musical, not really a true original musical just a bunch of hit songs made possible by greys sung by grey's.....I thought Sara was amazing same with chandra that being said if the great scale and history's of musical episodes..IT FAILED!!!!!.
The music matched the scene in 2 segments, the opener..kinda when it was explained that cali was seeing herself sing..ok i could have bought that if they had written it that the characters are in her mind or her psyche or something but we were seeing singing when she was unconscious..WTF and how is she seeing whats going on if her image isnt in every scene????. If in some bizarre way this earns an emmy or golden globe nod i will nerd rage like never before cause Bad lip-syncing and covers is not original material last time I looked, besides the fact that the music did nothing to further a storyline set up a story line or at times make sense...the attending conference anyone? in contrast almost 10 years ago now Joss Whedon wrote an O

Left out KT Tunstall's "Universe and You", when Arizona is sitting at Callie's bedside and sings it with her spirit. I think this is after Mark yells at her, saying she's nothing and before Callie codes and they have to go into surgery a second time.

Unfortunately, I think tonight's show was the beginning of the end. Too bad...I refuse to watch Dancing with the Idiots or Jersey Shore. Thank God for HBO & Showtime.

I personally loved it. I love that it's something that Shonda's wanted to do with *her* show for a long time, and finally had the opportunity to do it. Yes it was kinda weird, a bit cheesy at times, and totally different from any other grey's epsiode...but that was the point. It was an episode in which you had to suspend reality and logic, and just feel it. That's what music does, make you feel things, and I think they did a great job of portraying that.
I really reall really loved the 2 introductory scenes, I was crying through them. I loved the development of the callie arizona plotline, i loved that callie and mark finally realized how important arizona is and that she's not 'nothing.' I loved meredith's breakdown, she really rocked that emotional elevator scene. I loved seeing the hidden talents of some of my favorite celebrities, and I loved that they featured how talented sara ramirez is. So basically, I loved it :)
However, I think they knew going in that some people would

MerDer stole the whole freaking show for me Ellen singing was music to my ears She is so tiny and cute and adorable and innocent That MerDer moment in Running on Sunshine its short but sooooooooooooooooooooooo so cute I just cant stop watching and re watching it Mer looked so happy adoring her sleeping hubby She was literally glowing with love love and nothing but love and when he woke up he too was in seventh heaven Such small moments of seeing them happy together makes me fall for them all over again coz I know they have struggled hard to get to where they are Beautiful the couple is just beautiful
And Derek's mini break down and Mer stepping in and making him sleep was so awwwwwwwww OMG loved it LOVED Derek's concern for Mark
And don't make me start on the MD elevator scene coz am seriously short of words to describe its epicness BEAUTIFUL the scene was just BEAUTIFUL and I say it was about time for them to have such a soulful moment The had been strong all throughout the season a

If I want to hear songs I watch glee!!

When men run the show there are wars, this is what happens when women run the show, there are all songs. Estrogen attack. Not that there is anything wrong with that. TOmorrow I'm going for a many and a pedi. And a wig.
Forced. The music got in the way of the story. It also made me quit the show. Another one like that and I'm hunting for CSI.

It was a wonderful, compelling episode that pushed the envelope and exposed the characters in a new light. It was supposed to make us feel awkward at first and then ease into the comfort of something familiar: music that moves us. Tonight it was about the music and, especially, the lyrics. Kudos. I was expecting elements of a melancholic "Glee" and it rose above. I have been an occasional viewer for years, but this will make me keep watching, and wondering. Very cool. It was moving in every way.

This episode was horrible...I am an avid grey's fan and LOVE how they move me emotional, and the music ruined what appears to be a great story line...from the begining with the singing I could not invest emotionally at all into the episode. Me and my girlfriend thought this was cheesy and too forced. If this was a musical it would not see the light of day on broadway but maybe at a high school play.

HA! I totally knew there was going to be some Addions/Lucy interaction. I hadn't realized that Lucy wasn't as great in perinatology as I thought she was; it didn't help that grand master neonatal-perinatal expert Addison Shepherd gave her the ol' smackdown.

the best episode ever the songs and the scene were so emotive that i was crying towards the end of the episode and the vocal talent the cast during chasing cars was beutifully played out, and the way arizona and mark fought over callie was amazing the both genueinly care for callie and for one another because they focus on savng the beutiful baby, the song im living on sunshine brought a spark of life into the cast about the feelings, i must note ellen pompeo and chyler leigh have amazing voices

Callie took her seatbelt off to get the phone that Arizona threw in the backseat.

I think this was pretty amazing. I'm still not comfortable with how they just start singing but I like how the songs they picked had the lyrics that fit the scenes.
First, I'm very disappointed that Callie didn't have her seatbelt on. And I'm also a bit bummed that the major characters didn't get a lot of songs...Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, Sandra Oh and Justin Chambers (the originals)...they got 2 songs I think. Addison didn't have one either, I think. And neither did the Chief.
Other than that. Not bad. Sara Ramirez was incredible. She gave me goosebumps!
I think overall It was a good episode definitely had its emotional intense moments, the scenes where Arizona was sitting at Callie's bedside were heavy.
Some awkward moments as well where I think the singing may have taken away from the intense emotion of the moment. All the songs fit it was just kinda awkward to see some of the doctors singing.
Loved the scenes where Bailey and Lexie sang and of coarse Callie.
This ep was awesome. I too watch this show all the time. I would not want to see every episode a musical but it was a nice switch. The songs were in good taste and a good variety. I was glued to the tv the entire show. I love how the show always shows strong emotion and almost everytime yanks a heartstring, the music added to that. I love Calle anyway, so I'm glad with the ending. She said "YES"! I can't wait to get the dvd.

Okay, are we done with the Torres Anatomy now! This was just hopelessly awful. There were a few good scenes here and there but the music overtook the dialogue in most of the scenes. Then the height of disrespect was singing Derek and Meredith's exam room sex scene song by Callie. That is their song and their scene and that was just a slap in the face to a favorite couple. Last week they throw a scene in of theirs from an episode a while back, just thrown in there like they had to give them something. Then all the scenes with Derek tonight were written poorly and they photographed him weird. What was Kate Walsh there for. Her storyline was irrelevant. Why doesn't she just stay on her own show and give the air time to the characters of Grey's. What were the producers and the writers thinking. They've taken a great show and just hacked it. And if they really want to have Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo stay on the show, maybe they should give them a reason to stay. From wha

My only problem was-at least in the beginning-that we saw the actors actually singing in the scenes. It was just way too awkward for me. I kind of got used to it as the episode went on, so it wasn't as bad later on, but it really just made things a little too awkward. Apart from that, i loved the singing, and they all have really good voices. If they had put it in the background like usual, it would have been perfect. But i guess that wouldn't have made the episode exactly a musical.
I also really felt like this was Sara's time to shine, and i did like when she was on screen singing, because she is damn good.
