The episode was so good. The music just added more. I think people r missing it. The words to songs can leave such an impact on lives. Like where u were and what was going on when u heard a song. The next time u hear that song u will remember where u were the 1st time u heard it. This season of greys has not been as good in my opinion. Need some more humor like before.

The episode turned out better than I thought. When I heard that they were doing a musical episode, I expected a lot of cheese. It was surprisingly well done. The cast had great voices. Funny though, that my favorite scene was the elevator scene with Meredith and Derek. It made me like Meredith again.
THE MUSICAL HAD THEIR AWKWARD MOMENTS THAT CAN MAKE YOU GO "WTF WHY ARE THEY DOING THAT". BUT MAN DID I CRY THROUGH OUT THE EPISODE. IT WAS INTENSE FROM THE BEGINNING TILL THE END WEN CALLIE SAID YES TO ARIZONA. AND IT ALMOST FELT LIKE "CALLIE'S ANATMOY" LOL.
THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST EPISODE FOR ME. I WAS STUNNED ON HOW SHONDA DID THIS. GREAT WRITING. GREAT ACTING. BRILLIANT SHOW.

Okay. Owen...sang SEXY!! I mean, whowheww!! Hot.
Also, thought this episode was very good. The songs were awesome and i liked how they fit them into the dialogue. Although some of the songs/how they were sung (i.e. dancing and movements) were a little...strange.
However i am a happy MerDer fan. VERY HAPPY. Glad that their problems are coming to a head. Loved their cuddle scene. Glad it was'nt recycled hehe. :)The elevator scene with them lasted longer than I expected and it is about time!
Baby survived...eh. Let's see what happens.

JCap's acting was the highlight for me - she rocked it, and as always her character brought that twinge of reality back to the show.
The ep did seem to just flow from song set-up to song set-up, and probs less singing and more advancing storyline would have been interesting, but overall, for a musical - well done! At least these actors can all sing!

I actually really enjoyed it. When I first heard this was happening, I expected it to be a disaster. But, the cast is full of people with amazing vocal talent and music really has been an integral part of Grey's since the beginning. The only part I really disliked was Callie's totally random comment to set up the singing when she said Callioppe means music. I mean, I get it, but it was just a really awkward set up.
Also, thank you for actually writing a review this week. Last weeks was physically painful to read and I'm glad you took everyone's comments into consideration.

This episode is so ridiculous, I don't even know where to start. It is by far the worst I could imagine and this used to be my favorite show. What was anybody who had a part in this fiasco thinking? My husband says they jumped the shark!

I have to say it was Ok. but still a little cheesy. I didnt like running on sunshine and the making out crap/ all the other scenes were ok and well sung. I really have to give Chyler Leigh some props that girl sounded beautiful. Sara goes without saying though I could have done with out the dancing down the hallway. Loved Chandra and how she sang. She sounded like how you though Bailey would sound singing and it was cool. Keven was cool. But I really hope they dont do it again. it was too gimmicky an Greys should be better than that.

i don't even know where to begin with this disaster.
grey's used to have the best writing, acting, storylines and plotlines. this episode just shows how much the show has deteriorated! i couldn't take it seriouslyyyy!
on that note, i thought sara ramirez had a great voice, but owen was absolutely the weirdest thing ever. he ruined "how we operate" (which is one of my most favourite songs ever) every time he opened his mouth, i couldnt stop laughing!! just terrible on his part!
the best part hands down was in the elevator with meredith, she acted AMAZINGLY. that part right there deserves some recognition. this show should take some hints and realize why its called "GREY'S anatomy" and not torres' anatomy. that one part with her saved the ep for me.
altough buffy and scrubs did a musical, doesnt mean greys should have. i have no idea how viewers will take the show seriously again?
and p.s. i hated the fact that they were singing while wheeling her in? i get callie's ghost s
@Anon - the song Owen sang was How We Operate by Gomez

My fave part of the show was the chasing cars part, grace part and my most fave is the Breathe part! i agree with the others.. the running on sunshine bit is a lil weird for my taste... I just wish lexie will get smart and see for herself that there's no more room in the callie-mark-arizona scene, she will never be the priority.. if they are talking about letting the characters grow, she needs to let go..

Oh my No. This just missed the mark for me. I know that it was meant to give a serious undertone to the show but whenever a doctor would break out in song I couldn't help but smirk. Greys anatomy is known for it's amazing writing. But we got about three pages worth of lines in an hour episode with all the time the singing took up! Time that should have been spent building a story line, multiple character relationships. This just fell flat. They tried it and now hopefully we can move on. Although I did love Sara and (surprisingly) Justin Chamber's voices!
