A week ago, American Idol judges shocked viewers by saving Casey Abrams, thereby ensuring that two finalists would be eliminated this Thursday.

And neither resulted in the same kind of surprise we experienced seven nights ago.

Thia Megia and Naima Adedapo, a pair of contestants that never fully clicked with fans, were sent home. The former couldn't separate herself from the pack at any point, while the latter may have tried too hard to do so, alienating viewers who weren't prepared for reggae versions of classic singles.

Paul McDonald was included in the bottom three along with Thia and Naima. Think viewers made the right call?
