One Tree Hill Spoilers: Time Jumps Ahead
One Tree Hill finally returns with a new episode on April 19. But let's look a bit farther ahead.
According to star Austin Nichols, the May 17 season finale will feature a "cool device." He tells TV Guide "we're jumping through months," confirming the episode will fast-forward through time.
Between seasons four and five, One Tree Hill skipped four years in order to pass over the characters' college years.
With no renewal yet from The CW, could this finale serve as the final episode ever? It could, Nichols says: "If it [is] in fact a series finale, it will be very satisfying," but he adds that he's hopeful: "I know that there are seeds planted if there's going to be another season."

I love OTH and think they transitioned really well once Lucas and Peyton left. I love the new characters and think they should defo do a season 9. If you don't want a season 9 then don't watch it!!

I am not trying to be disrespectful to those who love the new seasons (7&8). I love One Tree Hill, and always will but for me it's just not the same without Lucas and Peyton. I grew up watching the show, and I have always been a die hard Leyton fan, but that's not the reason I miss them. For me, it's incredibly sad seeing Nathan, Haley and Brooke be without them. The show was based on Lucas and the five of them. When Lucas and Peyton left, it broke so many important and vital relationships. 2 brothers who developed an amazing relationship after 6 years, 2 sets of best friends (Lucas/Haley and Brooke/Peyton), and then the beautiful bond that all 3 girls made growing up together. We also can't forget the fun relationship that Nathan and Peyton had, and more importantly the love between Lucas and Brooke. Yes he is with Peyton and I love them together, but Lucas and Brooke still shared something special. It's just so sad watching Nathan, Haley and Brooke move on with their lives and ha

i hope its not the series finale too! cause he said they would bring back Lucas and Peyton they need to!!! and if not RENEW SO THEY CAN COME BACK SEAASON 9!!! abnd this is my show and it has really good ratings. so let it have like 2 more year, so they can have 9 and 10 and they would be going on for 10 years :))))))
