And the American Idol Season 10 Winner is...
Following the casting of 122 million votes, and performances by Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler, Bono, Tony Bennett and others, Ryan Seacrest made the announcement around 10:05 p.m. EST:
Your new American Idol is... Scotty McCreery!
Immediately after receiving the honor, Scotty gave Lauren Alaina props and said: "Never in my wildest dreams. I gotta thank the Lord. He got me here."
He then proceeded to belt out a version of "I Love You This Big," interrupting himself at various times to hug family members, friends and fellow finalists.
So, season 10 of American Idol has come to conclusion. Did viewers get it right?

This is the Idol finale I had least interest in ever. Two very predictable and anything but unique singers, imo.
Biggest surprise of the season: The judges. This new trio is amazing to watch. Absolutely loved them together.

Why are those northerns fussing about the finals being on this site??? We didnt force them to this website to look DUH... Go Scotty, and Lauren you are a great singer too. Come on down to Nashville because I think we have something good waiting for you both... Good luck in the future to you both!!!

this was the best season yet. i knew scotty had it from day one. but i loved lauren too. the judges were also great.

The headline said "And the American Idol Season 10 Winner is...", so WHY did those of you on the west coast even look at it???? Just to have something to bitch about?
BTW, America didn't get it wrong just because it wasn't who YOU would have picked. We vote for who WE like, and a lot of us liked Scotty. Lots of country fans out here.

I really liked James and wish he would have won but out of the two that were left I voyed for Scotty!!! So glad he got it and I think Lauren will be a great success also!! They need to make an album together!!!!

I can't believe this is posted yet. WE HAVE NOT SEEN IT HERE ON THE WEST COAST. THIS IS WRONG AND SHOWS NO CLASS!!!
