I am a total fan of Criminal Minds and was also excited to see CM:SB. At first i thought Garcia in the show was a good idea but at times she just seem like the Oracle, seems unbelievable. The next thing i disliked were the cast! They're "acting" too much, they seem hyper and wants to seem cool but arent, every line seem like theyre trying to deliver a witty punch line but none of it were working. Does not catch my attention. On paper it seem like it wud work but it just doesnt!

Being a total addict of Criminal Minds, I was happy to see a new spinoff show. Sadly, I agree that the characters lacked substance. I cannot see the appeal of Forest Whitaker as I found his speech annoying. It seemed as though he was constantly out of breath and breathed his sentences and his speech lacked any real conviction - it was as though he was just reading his lines. Using Garcia was a big cheat and even there, they did not use the character traits that make her so endearing. She made jokes and comments in the show and nobody even commented on them, and when they did it was with a stoic lack of appreciation of her wit. Big mistake, everybody loves Garcia :)

I am hooked to Criminal Minds and was very excited about the spin-off especially with Forest Whittaker-one of my favourite actors. He has soul and is very passionate in his acting. But after three episodes I lost interest. It was not holding my attention. I agree with the reviewer, we were not connected/introduced to the characters and that was a fatal flaw. However, I am still hoping it can be revamped and come back.

As far as I am concerned, this show foundered primarily on the use of Garafolo. She is a divisive, irritating personality and no one in my house will watch anything she appears in.

I liked this show although the writing was not on par with the original CM. I was willing to stick it out until there was improvement. I see a pattern in how CBS cancels shows and characters, a pattern I don't care for. I'll won't be adding any new CBS shows to my watch list.

BTW, are they any minority officers on the NY police force? because there aren't in Blue Bloods. Sadly, there really is very little diversity one CBS.

I liked CM SB. I think CBS should bring the show back. I didnt know much about the characters but the cases were good. Two Broke Girls should be cancelled and they should bring back CM SB!!!

I think the reviewer nailed it- the supporting cast was never properly introduced to the viewers, nor was there much of an attempt to tell any back-story. Using CM's Garcia instead of their own tech/geek was an obvious cheat, and the writers failed at a crucial task; making me care about the new faces in the supporting cast. Good writing can make even a bad concept work, so there's really no excuse why the writing team made so many crucial errors with what is actually a fine one. CBS should try again, and if they correct their errors, they'll have another fine show to air for years to come.

I was looking forward to Criminal Minds Suspect Behavior coming back this fall after the Criminal Minds slot. I was getting used to the characters and the series and liked Forrest Whitacker. I just think it needed to be re-vamped somewhat with more focus on the characters and the team dynamic. Im sorry to see it go.

Personally, I could never 'connect' with the characters on this show. It seemed so shallow and unbelievable. I know Forest Whitaker is supposed to be a great actor; but, somehow, he failed to impress me even one iota in this show.

I have been looking forward to Criminal Minds Suspect Behavior returning all summer! Not until I googled when it would be returning did I find out that it won't be. Now I'm just bummed. They didn't even give the show enough time to see how it was going to do. I love Criminal Minds and I was just getting to really like the characters of CM SB. Hope it returns!

I tried watching the show for a couple of episodes but I just wasn't feeling it. No matter how good a story line is if I'm not drawn to the characters I just can't and won't watch!..with CM I know each and every character and I love each one!..Reed is my favorite!

I liked the show and thought it just needed time to build. Bad decision to cut it loose so fast.......

  13. GTVnut

Worst spin-off ever! Criminal Minds has so much class and this one was just lame.

I'm really mad I like Criminal minds Suspect Behavior, It makes me mad they are not continuing the show. How will we ever know what happened. I hate when they do that. Atleast have a special episode so the views know how it ends.
    BRING BACK THE SHOW!!!!!

I really liked the show. I think CBS was too hard on them. I was so looking forward to the next season. Would be great if you would decide to bring it back later on in the year!

Were the producers of this show working with a hand out minimal budget? Whoever decided on the type of character Forest Whitaker should play needs to find another vocation as they are not very good at casting. He is a shocker.

  17. Geoffrey Quartermaine Bastin

Huge mistake using Forrest Whitaker and a bunch of unknowns. He's a great actor but unfortunately you see him first as FW and then as ...who? CM is ALL about the characters and not the actors (none of whom I ever heard of before).

  18. Dawn

Loved this show even with its flaws as it was more gruesome than C.M but i do agree that there should have been some kind of introduction to the agents. Myself and my partner are just hoping that it may return someday as ended on such a cliffhanger !!Will have to cherish the original C.M when it returns?

  19. JG Hater

The show could have been the greatest show ever created and aired for television and as long as Janeane Garofalo was anywhere in it we would not have ever watched it.

  20. Anastasia

Can anybody explain to me, why in are they special, why are they the "red cell"? what can they do that Hotche's team can't? it just looks like it's a run down team of rogues, with no palpable unity, and not reason for them to be as special as they make them out to be! Plus, does anyone really believe by looking at Cooper that he is so obsessed with martial arts and self defense? the guy looks way to over-sized and clumsy!

  21. Larry

Garafalo's liberal anti-America background distroyed the show. You couldn't look at her and not see her as a fraud. Without her it was watchable, with her it was a joke. Thought the same thing in the last 24. She does not belong in any series where she is a government employee, she hates and it comes through in her lack of acting ability. Horrible choice for a character playing FBI agent.

  22. mick is hotttt

the show is amazing so stopping bullshitting cause australia loves it!

Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior was pretty good in my opinion. I only watched a few online episodes but i thought it was decent. There just wasn't the chemistry and understanding between the characters as there is in Criminal Minds and other CBS shows. For example In NCIS:LA they really made it more interesting by adding an air of mystery surrounding "G" Callen, but the other characters "revealed" more of themselves. While as in Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior they didn't really do much about the characters personalities.

You (writer of this review) obviously did not watch the episode of Criminal Minds (can't remember what season or name of episode) where Forest Whitaker, the blonde chick and the "Irish" guy were tied in. I can't remember if the other guy was in it but I know Janeane Garofalo was not cast on that extra team. It was bound to happen that there would be a spin off, but in that episode where they were introduced they still had just as bad of acting, compared to CM's original cast.

Also, if you are familiar with Garcia's character in CM, then you would know she changes her hair color almost as often as she changes her clothes (i.e. pretty often). So for her to have blonde in one show and red in the other doesn't mean it's the shows way of giving a different character. FYI, in season 6 of CM and season 1 of CM: SB Garcia had red hair in both shows. If you don't believe me, then check out the episode entitled "Reflection of Desire", then go check out the 11th episode in CM: SB. When you dye

Suspect minds needs more nudity and sex. Then it might be almost watchable. A big hug to all the girls I`ve loved before
