I've loved OTH for years but I have to say, the 8th season has been a serious disappointment. Everyone was always so sad. As much as I hate to say it, I think the show has run its course and the writers have simply lost ways to keep me creatively (as opposed to tragically) intrigued. I'll be back for next season to give them one last chance to redeem themselves & say goodbye on a high not.

Why do they need to name the kids like their mothers last name.??
i dont get his.. i mean james is normal name but who names their kid sawyer (no offense to people who have that name or whos kids have).. they all stole that idea from haley..just saying

I thought this episode was okay. What I didn't like about it was that the entire episode felt like a montage. Everyone was getting their happy endings etc and I get that the reason for that was probably because they assumed this could've been their series finale but it still lacked dramatic conversations. There were hardly any substantial conversations between characters. I'm glad they have season nine to do better and they can go out with a better series finale.
Btw, did Brooke name one of her sons Davis? What's up with these characters naming their children after their last names like Peyton did with Sawyer? Just a thought.

I thought that the episode was good but it did lack a bit of drama. It felt like a very long montage that would be shown at the end of an episode and they could have done certain moments like Brooke's birth better. Considering this could have been a series finale it could have been a bit more epic.
That said, the actual story and how they tied everything up was very good. I am happy with how the characters ended up and thought some moments were very touching and funny. I just hope they make sure that season 9 goes out with a real bang.

loved it i hope that wasn't the series finale i think the final season should have an appearance with peyton and lucas only cause when they left it left some unanswered questions about them!Like ya they got married and had a baby but where did they go and why did they go what have they been up to type deal!
And whats gonna happen between quin and clay?Like i think more should happen!

Omg what a beautifull episode not much drama but a nice perfect end! i liked it when you see jamie at the end basketballing just like Lukas in the 1st episode and in the beginning credits. And Brooke and Julian very happy i love that. But i would have been a great end of the show.. but im curious what they would do for season 9?

I loved One Tree Hill...but the series should have ended with Lucas and Peyton drove off into the sunset. Everything since then has lacked the appeal of the series before that time....

I thought it was such a good episode, and such a fitting ending had the show not been picked up. Nathan on stage with Lydia was just so cute, I love it when they throw some funny stuff at James to work with (and this happens rarely, so I'll take what I can get). Brooke and the babies were adorable.
Dan!! Oh my I have missed this man so much. I love this character to death and I'm so happy we saw a bit of him this episode. That, and Karen's Cafe re-opening, really brought back some of the good ole' OTH feeling.
The only thing I don't get is why Chase picked Alex. This is a woman who continues to live her life her way, does not think twice about Chase or what it would do to him, never keeps a promise and then comes back with this stupid smile on her face, expecting everything to be okay. Yet, at the same time, Mia continues to be there for Chase, cheers him up, and seems like such a good fit for him. So why, WHY did Chase pick to be with someone as selfish as Alex?

I really liked the episode i mean like somebody said it's lacking of drama but it was maybe going to be the finale i think the fans deseved some dramaless happiness in the end. I didn't find Jamie so annoying this time, i guss that the fact they let him go alone to the river court is because of the small town I mean it shuld be safer. I loved the nathan and Lydia scenes (can't beilive we had to wait so long). I really liked Mia comming back I agree the scene with her and chace felt so real i really liked it! however I don't agree with the fact that the endding between alex and Chace was realistic, I mean i understand they needed a happy ending too (incase it was the end of the show) but it was like really forced, they deserved a better get together process not some rush unrealistic one. Brulian was great! I loved the fact they had twins and as we've been saying it was nice to see a happy brooke. i would have to desagree with everybody saying they missed leyton this episode, I did't fee

This is random because I don't watch this show, it does interest me, I've just never put time into it.
Anyway, I know from reading Michael Ausello that a character named Brooke is pregnant, with twins.
I know she has a difficulty getting pregnant. So if this show does really wanna add drama, they'll kill one of her babies and she'll be depressed and everything.
I know that this is random from a Non-One Tree Hill watcher, but I just watch a lot of TV to know that the writers will not make this easy for you viewers.
Hope y'all enjoyed this episode and look forward to next season. :D

I agree with EVERYONE on here, If next season will be the last then I think it would be nice to have Lucas and Peyton back for the LAST season!!! It would be nice to have Karen and her family back on here as well!!! I can't believe they are never really even mentioned anymore... There was soo much happening this season that you would have thought they would have at least been mentioned or made an apperance at least, like when Brooke got married( which they did mention them) or when Haylees mom died or when Haylee and Brooke had their babies! All I can say is the only way to have a GREAT ending to OTH would be to bring them back for the LAST season! I did LOVE this season finale though!!!

Don't get me wrong, I really love, especially loved OTH, but this has to stop! I mean this season was sooooo bad! And as much as I like seeing Brooke having her happy ending, this episode was too much!

I was disappointed that peyton and lucas did not return as i read. But now we have a season 9 which means it could still happen. With the direction they are going i think in a few years they could do One Tree Hill Next Generation with all their children. It could be really bad or it could be really awesome.

I loved the Brulian and Haley storylines. They were so cute and realistic. I thought the time jup worked well, but everything seemed really rushed. I did not like what they did with Jamie. He's like 10 and has girlfriends and all these other mature issues. Umm, no. Go play with your legos. And he can walk to the River Court with his cell phone? Does anybody not remember Nanny Carrie? Everything else was cute though. I loved Millie and Mouth, Chase & Chuck, and even the reappearance of Mia and Dan! Dan needs to come back. I thought that Karen and Leyton should have come back for the reopening of the cafe. That was their place. I loved the little shoutouts with Jamie and Haley to the pilot and the closing sequence. Perfect. Now that the series has been extended for another season, the final one, Leyton and Karen NEED to come back. The show would not have a proper ending without them. Also, this is One Tree Hill so it ended on a high, but when the show comes back, it's all going to go

I'm really starting to wonder why Peyton and Lucas didn't show up when Brooke got hospitalized and gave birth to twins...I mean isn't she and Peyton BFFs? And I agree, this show doesn't have the drama it used to have. Everyone has a kid and a happy ever after. What happened to the love triangles, an absent mother showing up, a rapist, a murderer, a junkie, teenagers getting married? This show has gone from awesome to lukewarm.

i loved it!
but i really can't stand jamie i don't like the way he came from the little boy in s5 trough this season8 :-( i hate it really - but nice to know that nate i guess had the hoodie from keith old job that was wearn by luke in s1
i loved loved that the theme song was perfomed by wait for it .... gavid degraw Legendary my favourite theme song from this season was patrick stump :-)
i'm really happy for brulian,chase&alex :-)
i can't wait for the final season - alltrough it has now 13episodes but that we get to say goodbye to tree hill and all of the charakters are really really good!

I loved that the opening theme song was back to the original Gavin Degraw version!! I too think Jamie is completely annoying, but he tugged at my heart strings a bit wearing the Keith Scott Body Shop hoodie and dribbling down the bridge. Awesome throwback to season 1 with him coming in to get dinner at the cafe with Haley (a la Lucas & Karen). If this would have been the series finale, I would have been satisfied. Glad it's not though. And you are not the only one who loves Dan Scott, I practically cheered when Nathan pulled up to the diner.

I would hve to agree that if next yr is in fact the final season then lucas and peyton should be brought back. I say end the show the way it started. There is something so pure about one tree hill. Jamie was a little lucas scott and I thought that it was a great way to end the season. One tree hill taught people a lot. It taught about friendship the confusion the tragedy. Life in its purest form. One tree hill is an epic show a show that has made u cry laugh and stunned at times. That's if u were a real fan I mean. I love the show and I don't want it to end but if it has too make it a series finale that eveyone will remember.

I think that in the next season they should bring Lucas and Peyton back. They were my favourite characters and they made the show. It would be so nice to see everyone together again.
