First, I am a HUGE PPP fan-I'll start there. I actually took the time out to read ALL of the comments, and honestly? If you don't like what's happening on PPP: YOU DON'T HAVE TO WATCH! I mean really? Its TV people! You're NEVER gonna be completely satisfied with any television show you watch...honestly if you ask me, Private Practice was WAY better than grey's anantomy this season; the most interesting storylines on Gre

Let's start from the top:
1. I wish the episode would have lasted 2 hours so as to not rush several characters' conflicts and storylines.
2. The producers need to do some serious improvement with Violet's character; I like Amy Brenneman, but Violet is ridiculously selfish and makes for unnecessary and creativity-lacking drama.
3. The whole thing with Connor (Benjamin Bratt) was introduced and wrapped up all too quickly.
4. I don't know what to think of Sam and Addie getting back together. I feel as though the show could've done without that. It'll only lead to Addie's heart breaking more. Addie and Sam do not rightly go together. But now that Naomi's left and whatnot, maybe Sam can open his eyes and his mind and be accepting of a few things he wouldn't normally be accepting of (aka a baby with Addison).
5. If Pete dies, Private Practice will lose a good number of viewers. His character is piece of the whole puzzle; without him, PP wouldn't be the same.

I hate Violet! She is SO selfish. The idea of Pete dying & Lucas sitting there watching it with no one to help is appalling! I hope that someone comes to Pete's rescue but NOT Violet, I hope she is gone for good. She was always a needy character, before Pete she was Cooper's blood sucking bff & I am glad they've finally toned that weirdness down. Otherwise I was mostly pleased with the story for the finale... oh yeah, not Amelia, that's heart breaking. I can't imagine they'll have her binging for too long but even still, reverting in that way is just so hard to experience with her. I'm trying to decide if the change with Naomi is going to be as major on the show as it seems or if this will just expand the storyline, giving us two settings for each episode. I kind of hope not, that would make it really feel like a soap opera.

I am so not liking AddiSam! I wish Addison would just move on alrady and have a kid. Dont care much for Amilia...i find her useless. Charlotte has gotten a little boring since she's a lot nicer now. Violet is a selfish character but I would NOT want to see her leave and I definitely dont want Pete to die because i love im on the show! I hate that Neiomi will be moving and probably wont be part of the show anymore...she's one of the best main characters in my opinion and would love for her to always be part of the show. Love Gabriel Fife and wish he would also stay in the show with Neiomi.

Well here is the breakdown of the story I see coming.
- Pete dies and leaves the show
- Naomi find out she is pregnant but with Sams baby from the time they hooked up leaving Addison totally crushed
- Violet goes into a deep depression of feeling sorry for herself (hopefully she leaves for good). I agree she is annoying.
- Amelia goes right off the edge with her drinking and hits bottom only to live with Charlotte and Cooper while recovering. She then tries to hit on Cooper again throwing a huge wedge between them.
- Sheldon takes a larger role in the show by replacing Charlotte as she will take a lesser role hopefully
Well that is a season full of drama.

Chemistry pairings seem to mean nothing on this show! Nae and Sam were HOT together and brought out the passion in one another. Why the producers won't let them be together (have to have both with white partners) when they obviously are so HOT together, I don't get! The chemistry is much more than just making a statement! Addison and Sam die together. Too cold, no chemistry. Neither of their faults, but just the way it is. LOVE Charlotte and Cooper together. Both are expanding their characters beautifully! Miss Pete being playful and smiling alot like he did in the beginning. He needs to recover, dump selfish Violet (who brought down the practice and left to serve her self-serving interests) and get together with maybe Amelia, or some other playful person! Sheldon does need a storyline. Maybe he can fall for a hot patient, but can't date her until she isn't his patient anymore! Glad Fife is gone, he was not a character that brought much to the show, except maybe he & Violet could h

Addison should go back to Seattle open another clinic.,become a staff doctor at Seattle Grace take Amelia and Cooper,Charlotte and maybe Pete.This would allow cross over episodes with Greys and Addison can go out with Alex or Mark

i think Addie should leave California and go back to Washington.She can open another clinic and start over.Wipe the slate clean.Take Amelia and one or two other doctors and become a member of the staff at Seattle Grace.This would make it easy for crossovers between Greys and Private Practice and would help do two hour specials and boost the ratings of both shows.Maybe Addie could get together with Mark again or with Alex

I was disappointed w/the finale. Everyone seems to be going in circles. How many Mothers can just go away for 3 wks when they have a child? Sick of Violet and I hope Pete will live to be back next season. Sick of the Addison and Sam saga...Needs to make the story line better or this show is going to get axed!

Amelia told Charlotte that she'd been drinking again, a lot recently. Beyond her control. So Charlotte replied that's a gate way. The reasons Charlotte needed to go to an NA meeting was because dealing with a rape victim was making her relive her own experience and that it could make her feel like she's almost over the edge again. That all she wants is so silence the pain by taking pills. As for Charlotte's past experience of drinking martinis, she was not drinking them as excessively as Amelia and for all we know Charlotte could have been in a dark time, so she resorted to alcohol instead of drugs.

I am very over Violet, but hope she returns to save Pete. Second thoughts would be great here. I am not opposed to Sam and Addison...however, he is being all about him, which is not his usual way. Love the mellowing of Charlotte...thinking the issue with Amelia could bring a guest visit by Patrick Dempsey!

So sick of the "Violet's a bad mother" accusations.
She was nearly reduced to tears saying goodbye to Lucas, how is that a bad mother? She's not running away, she's trying to make something good out of a bad situation. The medical board has suspended her license, which puts her out of a job for the time being. She's being banned from doing what she feels is her purpose in life, the book tour is offering her some meaning to her existence beyond her maritual and family obligations. She didn't take it to escape, she even envisioned bringing Lucas with her, but put that idea to rest when Pete said no. This whole season all we've seen of Violet and Lucas proves what a good mother she is. The fact that she chooses to go away temporarily for work-reasons doesn't dispute that.
As for the laments about Violet abandoning the practice in need, I need to ask what exactly is Violet supposed to do? She's already fought the medical board once and lost, her words hold no weight with them. Aside

Addison doesn't need Sam, Pete doesn't need Violet, Cooper DOES need Charlotte, Sheldon and Amelia need storylines, and Violet needs a comeuppance like nobody's business. It never ceases to amaze how somebody with that much emotional baggage and that little empathy ever imagined she could make it as a therapist of any kind. with every single situation about her, how does she treat anybody?
and i'm sorry, but Addison and Sam just plain suck together.

Addisam is just not right. Despite everything they've been through, Sam is still not willing to compromise his views and have a baby with Addison. He's being a little bitch. Honestly,so is Violet. Pete and Addison deserve better- they deserve each other! That is what it was supposed to be- Addison and Pete! I know these two have are done with, but their respective significiant others really suck.

I am so over Violet - fix her or jettison her but for pity's sake please don't make us endure another season of "All About Violet". Addison and Sam are also old hat - I am sick of Addie not 'being complete' without a man. Give her a season of pregs sans male - for a strong and successful woman, I sure get tired of her being hamstrung by esteem issues over whether or not she has a MAN.

I love the show Private Practice and my 2 favorite actors in it are Amy Brenneman and
Tim Daley. I hope the way it ended doesn't mean that they will not be in it next year.
That would be a big disappointment!!

Addison didn't go to Fiji with the stranger guy because as she said earlier in the show, the practice means everything to her and she realized it meant more to her than 14 days of hot sex with stranger guy. Oh, and then there is Sam. She apparently also decided that having a relationship with the man she loves was what she really wanted rather than having sex with someone she just met at the market (how old fashion of her!).
Violet is doing exactly what Pete accused her of - running away. She goes on a book tour for a book that may cause her the end of the Wellness Center. She is a piece of work. When Pete told her "I'm done," was he telling her he wanted out of the marriage? If that's the way Violet took it, that must some important book tour.

My review:
1. Amelia: I'm glad finally she is getting storyline.
2. Sheldon: should get a storyline also
3. Violet/Pete/Lucas: Violet is not mother material. Pete/Violet as a couple dont work. I'm all for Pete/Amelia of course when she gets better.
4. Charlotte/Cooper: same ole same ole 5. Nae/Addison: I dont feel them as friends like before 6. Addison/Grocery Store Person: WTF moments....
7. Sam/Nae: Loved their convo. I always liked them as friends
9. Fife/Nae: lovely proposal. they fit together
10. Addison and Sam: Better him than Grocery store person
FINALLY ADDISON ROCKS FOR SAVING THE PRACTICE, SHE IS THE BOSS.
Am I missing something? Conner? I dont recall him saying his name, oh well I dont care.
