I watched Smallville from the start. I loved it. I still love it, but only the old memories of it. I loved Kristin Kreuk as Lana Lang, and I thought she was the sweet detachment from the earlier Lois N Clark version which I found rather ridiculously stupid. But I have been waiting for the finale. Thank God it is finally over. Lois in Smallville was just boring, fake. Nothing good about her character. The Lois n Clark version of her was far better in character. However, Smallville still remains my best of series, but only up to season 7.

Loved the show since day 1. All great but, me and all the fans waited the whole 10 years to see that final transition from boy to superman. By not showin the suit you sort of robbed us a little.

I started watching Smallville a couple of months ago and I've been hooked ever since. I've bought all the seasons and have just finished watching the series finale only a few short moments ago and all I can say is, wow. Smallville is a captivating show and regardless of the predictability that Clark becomes Superman it still ceases to amaze me. It was and still is an amazing series one I plan on keeping for and to show my future kids.

I didnt need to see clark in the costume to believe that he had become superman, the rest of the finale did that for me. All you superman nerds who hate the finale dont seem to realize that it ISNT the freaking costume that makes this show so good, its the journey torwards clarks greater destiny. If you were interested in a show about superman, then why did you keep watching a show specifically about clark kent before he was superman?? The finale gave me everything i could have wanted to wrap up this great show and MORE.

I used to watch smallville when it was good. For the past 4 seasons short of a few decent episodes, the storylines have been completely implausible, illogical and completely messed up. The characters used to be believable, but the majority ended up a little stretched. The finale was also an anti climax, in my opinion they should have stop smallville a long time ago, when it used to be good!! As to the people who watched every episode, lapping it up. I am amazed, truly amazed at what you consider captivating tv. Try 'dexter' or 'game of thrones' anything HBO and youre set!!
I really wish Smallville finale had been better. For one thing, yes, the Darkseid battle was too short and too easy to defeat. In fact, I would like to see the real Darkseid in his own body and not in Lionel's.
Also, we -Smallville fans- were dissappointed many times through the series. We expected that we could see Clark in his Superman suit at least once. Did we get that wish done? No! We didn't. That just sucks! I mean, I think we all expected that and that desire was unfulfilled. BIG FAIL!
Oliver's struggle with Granny Goodness was just pathetic. He defeated them VERY EASILY.
And finally -but not all complaints- the soundtrack was way awful. I mean, it sounded just like midi format! I could almost see a bald guy with thick glassess sitting in front of his electronic keyboard playing along the episode... They could have hired a band or something. There is a big difference of quality sound between the final scene and the rest of the chapter...
Anyway, I did enjoyed someh

No one seems to care that Tess died! I'm glad she got redemption and know she was purely a character made for Smallville and not the Superman series, but couldn't she of moved away?! Or at the very least could they not have acknowledged her death in some way? A child named after her or a funeral or SOMETHING! (not that i didn't enjoy the finale!)

WAY too much time was wasted on Clark's break with his parents and resolving that situation, and on the back-and-forth nonsense of will-we-get married or won't-we-get-married. WAY too little time was devoted to his overcoming Darkseid. If DS was such an enormous threat, why was he so easy to defeat? How could Clark have moved Apocolypse so easily? Why, after 10 years, did we get only a tiny glimpse of Clark in the suit? If Lex got his mind wiped, then how was he able to reboot himself sufficiently to be elected President (and were Karl Rove and Dick Cheney involved)? How was Oliver able to so easily defeat Darkseid's minions? The most moving scene was Lois starting to walk herself down the aisle, not seeing Clark, wondering if she'd been stood up, only to find him there to walk her down himself. Runner-up was seeing the little boy, and speculating whether he resembled Oliver or Chloe the most. 2nd runner-up was Clark and Lois at the plane window. Wish more questions had been

I had so many unanswered question concerning Chloe. You know how dr fate said that Chloe shared the same fate as him, well what did that mean? i tot i to meant that Chloe would be the next Dr fate. And also how the legion said dat they did not hear of a Chloe sulivan in the future, what did that mean too? Also what happened to her ability to heal people? And why d hell did Tess have to die, she deserves to be happy, you know, after all she's been through. But yeah, I'm really pissed at how they wrapped up chloe, it's so unfinished and unsatisfying. And yeah, oliver was not well wrapped up too.

Chloe 'I'm hero-inspirer - honest!' Sullivan reading the comic book to her kid was one of the most annoying and pointless aspects of this truly disappointing finale. But then again, that character has always been annoying and pointless.
Clark and Lois still trying to get married 7 years later was beyond ridiculous, as was Tess smearing of Lex's face with the mindwiping gunk. And how unbelievably ludicrous was that scene with Oliver besting three of Darkseid's previously powerful minions with a single shot with his now suddenly magical arrows, and Clark taking out the invincible Darkseid with a SINGLE swift kick to the gut. Darkwimp was it?
And don't get me started on just how laughable it was that the newly minted Superman could push an entire, flame-spewing planetoid back into space. Plus, wasn't this the suit made by Martha? I'd like to know where she got the super fire-retardant material from. (Or maybe Clark gave everyone a cheap thrill by flying back to Earth nekkid!)

The finale seemed rushed and incomplete. But I don't care at all. There was some resolution to much of the story, and we got to see a culmination of a 10 year journey. Smallville was marvelous TV. In my opinion, they did the Superman story better than it has been done before outside the comics. The continuity was excellent. It was dramatic, emotional, suspenseful, farcical and comical. The actors and actresses who turned from teen to adults on camera were hot, hot, hot. The stories were full of meaning. The effects were extraordinary. If it were me writing history, this would be one of the great television programs. I want more!!!

Lets not be biased here OLIVER & CHLOE did not end up together.
Smallville has messed up Arrow big time, that its so difficult to see past through their gimmicks and retcons. if chloe and oliver were endgame, I don't think it would have been hard to see. Lots of fans were left wondering what happened to ollie, Lots of critics who reviewd the episode raised the same question too. Then there is the DC mythology thing. I would do some serious background homework on this season and especially the finale, before just posting a biased review!!

Freakin' LOVED, LOVED it. Brilliant!!! Cried when Clois was walking down the aisle and Jonathon was there. Loved that the Kent's and Jor-El were all there to help him finally accept who he was with both his human side and kryptonian side. Loved that I saw him fly. YAY!!! Not too upset that didn't really saw him in full suit but it was still great.
Lex back and will be his nemesis. Didn't mind not seeing Clois actually married but you just know that they will be together forever. Loved the scene between them during the airplane bit. The love between them and the pride that Lois had at seeing Clark be the hero that he is. Glad Lana didn't come back. She is not part of Superman's future anyway. Never liked her.
The end was a perfect bookend. With Jimmy and Perry, it's the start of Superman's adventures and the end of Smallville. I am really going to miss this show. Superman is the ultimate hero and Clois belong together forever.
