The Vampire Diaries Photo Preview: "As I Lay Dying"
Last night's episode of The Vampire Diaries, "The Sun Also Rises," set the stage for an epic season finale next Thursday. More than one life hangs in the balance May 12.
While Mystic Falls presents a screening of Gone with The Wind in the town square, Damon’s memories of Katherine in 1864 mix with the reality of Elena in the present.
Will Damon survive, and in what form? Will he earn Elena's forgiveness? Will the body count continue to rise after a carnage-filled episode yesterday evening?

From the way I look at these pictures, they are epic and shocking mixed together. I love all of the Stelena moments because I'm a huge Stelena super fan. The true events of the episode are extremely shocking. Now that Damon is dying, how will Mystic Falls be like without him? There is only one way to find out and that's to keep watching and learn the spoilers. Now matter how shocking the events go, I will still love this show soooo much as my favorite. I love the Vampire Diaries in any fantastic way there is. =) =D

damon kicks ass really!!!he s epic!!!! he carries the show!!! i hated elena s reaction when she was cold and calm and said you made the wrong choice really he risqued his life for her grr !!i wanted to hit her that moment!! the thing about damon is he s funny and cool really and he s such passionat lover really on fire he s intensiv that s what i like about him and of course he s damn hot ouuu my god!! iansomerhalder you rock!!!REALLY WANNA DAMON TO STAY IN THE SHOW AS VAMPIRE HE S THE COOLEST EVER!!

Please...all you Damon haters. Dont hate him coz you aint him!!! Its plain and simple really...The dude is EPIC!!! and his character carries the show. Sure they could focus on some of the other characters as well (and they do) but Damon outshines the rest with no effort at all. and you can bet your life the show would die a silent death if he wasn't around.
As for the man behind the character....DAMN homey!!!! you rock! Ian Somerhalder you sure know what your doing! and you are part of an awesome team! I take my hat off to the writers/producers of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES! You've brought back television for me!!!!

hmm.. the delena story should take a step like what happened at the end of season 1 with damon kissing katherine thinking it was elena. but a happy ending would probably ruin the whole show for me as much as i would like to see delena together. :p

i reali think that season 2 is way better then season 1 so im gonna have to disagree with u lani, damon IS legit. i think that damon wont die cuz remember that Rose didnt die from the wolf bite, she got staked. and i must say when my friends told me about vampire diaries i thought it would me rubish til i watched it. the writer is a true legand!!!

Lani sounds like a damon hater. the show is not all about him all characters are given their chance. season 2 is awesome but it would only take a true fan to notice. and of course season 1 had more details about the characters they were now being introduced! so STFU if you don't know what you're talking about. >_

as i lay dying is so cool can t wait!!damon omg*-* he s so awesome all my friends are watching the show just for him!!!if he ll be dead which i doubt my and my friends wont watch this show any more!damon really a wonderful character really you never know what he s up as for the others theyare so predectibles but i like them!!!

Clearly you have been watching a different show from every one else. If you and your "friends" won't miss the show thru summer, so what? Doubt the show will miss you!!!!!
