I also think eiljah will come back by Katherine and she will save Stefan. Who knows maybe her and Stefan will be an item and Damon and Aelaena will be an item and they will all be happy!

Agreed Jamie, Elena did instigate the kiss, but then again, Damon has been pursuing Elena practically since this series began. Out of respect for his brother (barely) and the fact that for a long time Elena truly loathed him, he has usually managed to keep his vampire enhanced libido in check.
And as for the meaning of the kiss, I don't think it was just out of pity because Elena thought Damon might die. She could have just held him, but she decided to do a little more than that. I think what the writers are trying to portray is that Elena has mixed feelings toward the guy, for obvious reasons. But there's no doubt she is attracted to him on some level. Maybe it's the bad boy effect, which has led many a woman down a path of self-destruction. What a strange world we live in.
As for Delena being inevitable and how right Damon and Elena are for each other, I couldn't disagree more. Is Damon the kind of guy that a lot of girls would love to do the mattress mambo with? Oh yeah. Does

I was dissapointed that Stefan had to give up his life basically to save Damon. I always knew Aelana had feelings for Damon. I think Stefan knows that Damon will take care of Aelana and will b there when he can come back but I think she will feel like her chose Damon over her ( because he did) and she and Damon will b an item when he returns.

I get Stephan's thinking. Even if he goes along with Klaus, 10 yrs isn't much to him and it gives Elena time to 'live a normal life'. But I think he's banking on Catherine and Damon finding Elijah and bringing him back, along with the rest of his family.
Either way, it looks like we're in for some fun.

I DIE. What an awesome finale. Where do I begin. I didn't think we would see klaus till season three. Even tho I like is asshole ways. He's not loyal he killed his brother. N there family. Smh. Damon poor thang. I kno elena loves him I wish she would of said it. And I called it when klaus blood was the way to save damon. Now he is saved and stefan is bout to be the ultimate bad ass. Jer can go on somewhere I'm not a big fan of how it ended seeing anna kool I fux with her vickki I wasn't a fan of hers. Until september folks see u then.

I think that Kat was able to enter the house because Elena "officially" died. When she walked in with the cure she said to Elena..."I thought you were dead". Stefan didn't fill her in and she saw that Klaus was a werevamp so she could only assume that the ritual went as planned. Though if the house is now unsafe any vamp can just waltz right in. Not sure how I feel about the Delena kiss. To me it was overshadowed by the fact that he was dying similar to the Leyton school shooting kiss from OTH. I really liked Delena Season 1...Season 2 Damon turned into a sappy mess and Elena was all Stefan Stefan only Stefan. Season 3 should be interesting for the triangle. I'm really excited to see more of the Original Family and the Jeremy situation.

Okay, whoever said we Delena fans can have half of season 3 but that it will 'always be Stefan,' I disagree. Elena might have said that in the beginning of the season vehemently, but when Damon brought it up, she did not say a word. And when Katherine said it's okay to love them both, she didn't even protest or try to deny it. Speaks volumes in my personal opinion. I honestly don't believe the Delena kiss was out of pity whatsoever. I think Damon being on the brink of death might have stirred up some feelings Elena didn't even realize she had until she was faced with the possibility of losing him forever.
Dominique, I completely agree with your entire post, especially the part about Delena. I too think Damon will be the one Elena ends up loving more as well.
michaela, I disagree. I think Delena is inevitable and will happen. And, I completely agree about them being made for each other.

tabitha, Damon didn't go after Elena though. SHE'S the one who kissed HIM. You can't put that on Damon.

I may be completely off base because not one person in the comments thinks what I think... Jeremy is a vampire. I think that he died & Caroline fed him her blood. At that point everyone assumed that it didn't work but like we've seen plenty of times before... It takes a while after dying for you to wake up & become a vampire. Bonnie took Jeremy & we knew from her own description that they were not willing to help & even Bonnie herself believed when the candles blew out that the witches abandoned her. Then all of a sudden Jeremy is alive! Did the witches save him & help Bonnie after all OR... was Jeremy always going to wake up... a vampire? After waking, Jeremy said he felt strange. That was the point when I was convinced he was a vampire. We just saw Jenna saying similar things to Elena just last week when she woke up a vampire. The clincher for me was Jeremy seeing his dead vampire girlfriends. Vampire?!?! I think the proof is in the x-girlfriend pudding!

how many of us are really rooting for that Damon and Elena moment? the one where they both KNOW the chemistry is going to click and the flames fanned by a REAL KISS!!!
Well it appears I am one of the few that were disapointed by this episode. I could accept Jenna's death, and John's. But to shoot Jeremy, and then a witches spell brings him back. That never ends well for lots of reasons. I think they should have ended the show last episode. And taken some time to think over hiatus. Now It looks like the show has hit bottom. :( This is the first episode I have not immiediately restarted and watched 3 times!

Haha at your comment of the show being quick for us, really becca, really? After writing a paragraph justifing your view which was completly wrong, you wrote it in such a way as to imply that the other comments, where EVERYONE was confused about how she got in the house and nobody came up with an explanation wasent hint enough that maybe, just MAYBE becca, that you were in the wrong, wierd right? The shows not too fast for us, its to fast for you honey, you didnt even see what house it was. Suggestion, re-watch the whole season again, hate to think of other theories and misinterpriations you've conjured up, don't embarras yourself again with ending your comment with a statement like THAT. Katherine was able to enter the house because Elena techninally die when Klaus killed her, so that broke the rules of a vampire entering your house.

i think my heart may have broken a small bit when you saw elena kiss damon, knowing stefan was sacrificing everything at the same time..it seemed so sad and unfair. please let stefan be rescued

Someone answered my question on facebook, so now I understands how Katherine is able to enter the Salvatore mansion!
Elena died in the previous episode for the sacrifice, right? So, there. The owner of the house died, so it broke the barrier, vampires can enter that house freely now.

Cried so badly when Elena finally tells Damon "I like you" and kisses him. Not because of the Delena storyline finally kick in. I cried because of Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev's mind blowing acting skills. Ian especially, he is really one of the best actors out there.
Now, Stefan! He's been a very boring character, for a while. I am actually glad that Vampire Diaries puts him back to the dark side. It will give him a lot more to do in the show. So that all the complaints about "this show is a Damon Show" can go away.
I am very shocked when I see Vicky and Anna there at the end of the episode! Vampire Diaries never fail to shock and surprise me! What the hell is this specific consequence of saving Jeremy's life? It's killing me! This cliffhanger is epic! When is the next season gonna be aired? Anyone know?
Last, about Katherine delivering the cure to Damon! I am also curious about how the hell did she enter the house, just like everyone else! She's not invited in! Man, did V

i don't think stefan will be bad i think he's going with klaus to agree at this point i also don't think elijah dead as far as elena and damon goes i don't think damon will be that into elena as far as bonnie goes i think the witches put anna and vickie to mess with jeremy and bonnie i dont think they'll be together in season 3
Becca -- people are on about Katherine being about to get in the salvatore house. Sure, she used to be allowed in, but she was already Klaus's captive when the boys signed the house over to Elena -- ergo, starting again with a clean slate on which vamps are invited in (as we've seen with Stefan, Damon and Elijah all having to be invited back in.) Katherine hasn't been invited in since then, so it is a plot hole, it's would seem.
I'm still holding out for Stefan's badness to be at least a bit of an act. After all, he's been back on the people blood for quite a while now, if doing so gradually, surely it can't have as much of an effect on him as it used to? I'm glad that storyline allowed us to reach the end of of Damon's "search for humanity" though. It was getting a bit old. Can we have sarky but good Damon instead of mopey, 'my way or no way' Damon next season now, please?
And I wondered about Bonnie's spell for Jeremy -- funny how she didn't think of using that one as a way to save Elena the episode before, isn't it? Can't way to see what's going to happen with that, though: beyond awesome to see the return of Anna, even if she does only turn out to be a ghost or something!
And finally... Elijah: if no one finds a way to get him outta that coffin within the first couple episodes of season 3 I will. not. be. happy. I think he's been one of the most compelling characters this season and Daniel Gillies is

Before I say this I need to clarify something: I LOVE DAMON!
but hooking up with Elena would totally asshole-ish of him. After all, your boring brother DID save your life and became awesomely VOILENT! Plus, it would make him look pathetic AND Elena would NEVER betray Stefan even though she likes Damon and Stefan turned to the old Damon. And elt's not forget, Damon is WAY too awesome to end up with just Elena and a happily ever after. He doesn't need anybody cus he's perfect in his ow way :)
