Gosh, this was an epic episode! I couldn't stop crying. Definitely TVD is the best show now, and I'm completely more than obsessed.

I don't understand why the elixir would save Damon, didn't we go over it wouldn't work if vamp blood was in the system. It would just seem like a real macguffin if they used that, wait for Damon to be on the brink of death just to revive him with a potion. Since VD is mostly unpredictable i rather see Damon die then come back human with no explanation then for them to use that.

Are we talking about Damon taking that restorative elixir that was originally planned for Elena to take before Damon force fed her his blood? I don't remember seeing Elijah ever taking it out of the Boarding house... That would be something else..
Any thoughts?

I'm thinking the blood of the doppelganger can cure a werewolf bite. However, Elena is already on the brink of death from being drained by Klaus and if Damon drank her blood it may kill her. I am really looking forward to some Delena moments in then next episode and I would be soooooooo sad if Damon actually died. Without Damon there is no balance between the brothers and no more love triangle. It'd be a very boring story after that.
On another note: Did anyone else feel a little ripped off by the whole Elena sacrifice scene?? I mean there was no flash backs of everything she'd been through, no silent I love you to Stefan, no single tear drop, nothing. I was a lil disappointed. Klaus bites, drinks (10 seconds) and Elena hits the dirt. What up with that?? I did love the don't come back as a vampire cause I will stake you myself and the I couldn't handle you hating me forever lines from Damon. Love this show sooooo much and the entire cast is amazing!!!

btw, this episode was good enough to have been the season finale. so OMFG! we can only imagine wat the finale will be like! :O

Maybe instead of Damon dying, hell become a vamp-were hybrid! You never know really! Theres really no proof that a werewolf bite kills the vampire. Rose was bitten, and she became demented, and it hurt, but she didnt actally die. Damon staked her. Besides, its all based on some legend, and look what happened to the legend of the sun and moon curse- it was fake!!

IM WITH YOU! forwood ftw! and i cried. the most? when john's letter to elena was being read. that scene was beatifully shot. the song was perfect. damn! this show is soo good! i dont want the season to end. and damon and elena! aaah! dont want damon to die(as if he will):p

maybe Damon will become a were-vamp hybrid instead of dying. you never know. theres no real proof that vampires die from a werewolf bite. damon staked rose, and the other legend was proved fake!

Perhaps Damon will end up a "were-vamp" if they save him, that would give them someone to fight Klaus, though Klaus is also a "original," making him harder to kill. I see things going back and forth between Caroline and Matt, with poor Tyler-wolf in the middle.

Can someone tell me if Jenna is REALLY dead, because two people died but there was only one grave and there was no head stone and they did not show one either. They did not even seem to be that upset about whoever was in the grave. I thought if it was Jenna that both of them would be more upset than what they were? Any thoughts???

I'm so on the Caroline-Tyler boat. THEY LOOK SO CUTE TOGETHER OMG! And is it just me or did Tyler looked better in this episode than all the others? Maybe it's the shirtless body but I'm not sure. Him pulling Caroline to a hug made the butterflies in my stomach flutter. Such a cute future couple! Thanks for dumping Caroline, Matt! We owe it to you! LOL.
OMG THIS EPISODE IS SO AMAZING.
I CRIED WHEN JENNA DIED! AND OMG SKINNY LOVE WAS SO PERFECT FOR THAT FUNERAL SCENE, I CANNOT STOP CRYING! WHAT IS MY LIFE.
Anyway, I kinda expected that Elijah wouldn't kill Klaus after I read that the third season will be about the Originals. I'm kinda happy cos Klaus is such a looker. LOL. I love the way he speaks. He has this class~ of an original vampire, same with Elijah.
I was wondering what would the elixir can do to Damon. I'm so excited for the season finale like yeah! I cannot believe that the writers were able to make season 2 even better than the first season! Talents! OMG!!!

If Klaus is now this all-powerful hybrid, doesn't that mean that whomever he bites will also become a hybrid? If so, maybe he starts his army by feeding his blood to his family members who are desiccated somewhere.
Damon having his soul restored and being human, yet like a vampire, too (Angel, anyone?) would be interesting. Implications to his relationships with various people would be major...
Elijah--blood is thicker than water, or so many people believe. That would explain him going back on his word to Stefan..

Yea, I used an entire box of tissues watching this damn episode. My bestie & I have re-named our weekly TVD get together "Therapy Thursdays" & boy did we need it this week. You know a show is powerful when you go home exhausted with a pounding headache, puffy eyes & a broken heart.
The death toll:
Jules, I was happy to see go since Tyler was the other choice. Joseph Morgan was chilling as Klaus & his removal of her heart did not disappoint.
Greta: I cheered when Damon snapped her neck! Witchy Karma sums up that moment.
Aunt Jenna: I have been grieving for her all week since I believed her death to be "the big one" we've been waiting for. Nina & Sara delivered powerful performances that left me drained.
John: this was my surprise death! I did not expect Jeremy & Elena to lose ALL their parents, they are truly orphaned now. This definitely changes things in terms of their stories in Season 3. John's exit was touching as I've basically hated him up until n

Wow is right for this episode, my heart broke for Elena losing most of her family though. I think John did redeem himself in the end, he died for his daughter. I really am likeing Caroline and Tyler together but I feel bad for Matt, I would like to see the writeres let him be happy. He is all alone. I hope next weeks episode is based around Delena. They also better find a way to save Damon, I also want him to admit to Elena that he is in love with her and just could not lose her, I think admission will be all Elena needs to forgive him. She needs to see what is truly in his heart. I can't wait for next week and I am so happy I have all the episodes saved on my DVR so I can rewatch all I want until season two comes out on DVD, which they better do fast.

I'm dissapointed by Jenna's death, thought they wrap her storyline up! But she's better gone cause she didn't done anything interesting! This on the other sie gives more space for Alaric and a possible new lovestory!
The Elijah-Klaus twist was a little boring! Come on! We want them to hate each other and start a WAR!
We all knew that Elena will stay human! Would be to ideal livin with Stefan till the end off mystic falls!
BUT THE DAMON TURNS HUMAN IDEA I MENTIONED IN MY LAST WEEK COMMENT! SO DON'T TURN IT ON YOU! XD :PPPPPPPPP

I thought it was not nearly as good as the build up. Either Elijah or Klause should have died. This show is getting more and more like Buffy. Think about it. You have Willow, Angel, Spike, Darla, and Giles. All you need now is Buffy. I hope they change the direction of this show. It is getting really silly. Wow, I just thought about it. They are gonna bring in Sarah Michelle Gellar to kill Klause and Elijah next season.

I would love to see Caroline and Tyler together. And Bonnie came hard with the witch act. She was in control and saved the day truly. Was made at the death toll, but what do you expect when your talking about vampires and werewolves. I want to see a long steamy kiss between Elena and Damon, but I know she's better off with the brother. Can't wait til next Thursday.

Jenna's death devastated me. I cried like a baby and I'm tearing up just thinking about it right now. It was horrible. I can't believe how many people have been killed on this show. Has to be a record in T.V. history.

Kat in Alaric's apartment will be so weird...maybe she'll console him about Jenna and they'll fall in love but wait, she was the one who caused her to be turned. Maybe he'll torture her instead...lol by shooting her over and over from outside the door and maybe set the house on fire with her in it
Caroline now knows her mom is in the loop. What will she do?
I'm thinking she has to move out and move in with Helena or Stefan but it will be interesting to see what is going to happen to their relationships (Mom, Caroline, and Matt) since they all live among each other and knowing what they know.
Jeremy and Bonnie are pretty cute together, no?
I never thought so because Bonnie is all powerful and popular but they have her dating a little boy and a loner in her HS. It diminishes her character. She needs a college guy to woe her and take care of her like she takes care of that whole freaking town

The song was Skinny Love, not sure who was doing the cover but the original is done by Bon Iver. Amazing episode, would have made for a great season finale but I'm sure next week we are going to I hope be blown away.
