    Actually, go back a couple of weeks to the JUSTIFIED season finale...now THAT was a great season finale with several unexpected twists.

    Castle! Montgomery is killed. Beckett gets shot. Castle tells her he loves her. Damn, talk about a finale.
    
    Second place is The Mentalist. Jane killing Red John was great.

    Out of the CW shows TVD actually had the worst finale. It felt more like an opener than a finale.

    Not to hate on other shows finales but The Mentalist had Jane kill Red John. You can`t top the title character of a show, who works with the police, killing a man in cold blood in the middle of a mall. You just can`t top it.

    MENTALIST AND/OR VAMPIRE DIARIES . Amazing acting from Simon Baker and Paul Wesley . And shocking 8.58s. Meaning jaw dropping last two minutes.

    I have to say this year in season finales was kind of lackluster for every single show...but I'd have to say Vampire Diaries.
