NCIS Burning Question: Who Did Tony See in the Photo?

at . Comments

May's NCIS season finale, "Pyramid," saw the demise of the Port-to-Port Killer, but left more than a few unanswered questions lingering in the story arc's aftermath.

Chief among them: Who did Tony see in the photo?

The new SecNav promptly summoned Tony to keep tabs on someone within the organization selling U.S. intelligence. DiNozzo was clearly chosen for a reason, too.

Executive producer Gary Glasberg tells TV Guide that, not surprisingly, "It will be someone that we recognize," and that we'll learn who it is in the season premiere.

Come September, we'll also learn more about the microchip that E.J. suspiciously removed from her slain colleague's arm. Think the two mysteries are connected?

It's hard to imagine they're not in some way. Follow this link for more NCIS Season 9 spoilers and sound off with your thoughts on these ongoing plot lines below.

Who say it has to be a DC NCIS agent it could be a NCIS LA agent

Hi Janet...I love me some Tony - even more now since he has shaken off that unpleasant sleazy Agent - and I watched the finale a couple of times now - but I am really finding it hard to read his face when he looks in that folder..I can't tell if he's surprised or shocked or what he must be just me hoping for the best but expecting the worst. I'm worried for the Team already - Tony never does well undercover and I don't know how much faith to put in Gary Glasberg and any new writers to get it right...gosh, September seems a long way off and I'm not a very patient person. Any clue who it might be...

hi saucyB I think its someone closer to tony than jimmy the look on his face when he got the file says it all.

I've got a feeling it could be Jimmy... It won't be McGee as he's too straight-laiced, Ziva is too obvious, and I highly doubt it's Gibbs. Don't know wh,y but Tony's gone to Jimmy in the past when Tony played "Boss" for a case going back to his Baltimore PD days. I think Jimmy's a great character but they haven't really used him that much, so I don't think I'm too wide of the mark.

Just a few weeks gone - but I got to missing Mike Franks so much that this afternoon I watched Season 5 Judgment Day so I could remember his antics and his sweet rough I'm mourning Mike AND Jenny...awhh that was one great finale that year. It doesn't really compare IMO to who Tony is looking at in that folder...but still I can hardly wait for September and Season 9 to start!!!!!

well whoever it is we know its going to affect Tony friendship with Gibbs and with his Soulmate EJ

could be Nikki buy i think it may be someone more important to the show

yeah thanks Janet I read some of his comment on this site

taniaO6 dont listen to michael he talks rubbish.

they never told us what happened to Nikki after "In the Zone" so we don't know if Vance got rid of Nikki or not after what happened with Jenny. they never told that story after she went to see her brother in the Hospital.

NCIS Quotes

Tony: One other question, I know you're an expert in English history. And I was just wondering, have you ever heard of Archibald Drummond, the 17th Earl of Trent?
Ducky: The Earl of Trent. No, I can't say I have. Why?
Tony: I was just wondering. Thanks.

McGee: All right. Well you should probably know that Abby and I used to date?
Bishop: Ew. Like, each other?
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: Wait - isn't that a violation of rule 12, never date a....
McGee: It was a long time ago. After we'd broken up, one night I went to her lab. Found a scribbled piece paper; a list. Potential boyfriends had to fulfill certain conditions by a pre-arranged date or else, goodbye.
Bishop: Such as.
McGee: Things started off relatively normal: opening the door for her, flowers, putting the seat down. Then around number 8, it gets uh...
Bishop: What?
McGee: Does she know you have these?
Bishop: Does she know you have these?
McGee: Yeah she wasn't happy when she found out.
Bishop: These are all very specific.
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: These ideas apply to you?
McGee: No those rules weren't in place when we were together. At least I don't think so.
Bishop: What's with the two month cutoff? Abby's sabotaging herself. I've seen stuff like this before. We have to talk to her.
