Entourage Movie: Confirmed by Creator
It's been the worst kept secret in Hollywood, and it was confirmed at The Television Critics Association press tour last night:
"We're going to do a movie," Entourage creator/producer Doug Ellin said. "It's a question of when and how quick."
Mark Wahlberg, the producer on whose life the show is loosely based, has been behind the project for years.
"If I had to finance it myself, I would do it," he said last night. "I certainly hope that this has a chance to become a feature film. People have always complained that the episodes are too short and they want to go on a journey with these guys."
The summer has been a boon for R-rated comedies, from Bridesmaids to Horrible Bosses to Bad Teacher. Wahlberg cites another example, though, for his vision of an Entourage movie: "The Hangover, to me, is very much like Entourage."
Are you excited to see the series on the big screen?
